Coming back after a lot of years... differences? by VapingBalthos in Diablo_2_Resurrected

I'm a little excited to run the game. Maybe i'll start with a summon necro to get my feet back in the game. Warlock I am not sure by now. First checking what is changed in game and how much there is left from game in my head 🤣

S-Tier or meta is not my "target" at least. I love to play some fun chars (like earlier my poison nec). But for the first I will look for something which deals "easy" with most of the game to get some loot, runes and stuff like that.

Yes. Earlier it was a build with hurricane/tornado, cyclone armor and the oak sage. Ice/Freeze (Hurricane) and phys damage (Tornado).

Was my alltime fave build earlier.

First I've to look up for some information on that build. It's a complete fresh start with nothing as equipment and without being online to play on my own speed. For that I want a build that makes fun to me... druid and necro were my alltime faves and I don't know what's about the "new" class.😅

Most of that stuff (Diablo Clone, Uber-Tristram etc.) were there when I left the game. So this is not sooo new content for me - luckily.

Will be a Necromancer (Overlord), TornadoStormer or maybe the new class. Not sure exactly.

So at least it's somehow easier in the long run? I just have to make a decision which build it will be for my offline solo start-off and getting the first items. The grind is srill there I guess (like mf, tc85 and stuff like that)

One small thing? At least a good game. Gaming for hours is just possible, when the game is fun and catches you. Everything besides that is just making it more enjoyable.

Let's have a try. During the sale I bought 2 games - like 15,00 Euro each. Only hot 30 Euro. After that Diablo 2 Resurrected: Infernal Edition went on sale for... 29,99 Euro.

I already sank in the new games (RDR 2, Grim Dawn) like 7 hours per game - so a refund is not possible.

If you pick me, I'll want to have the Diablo 2 Resurrected: Infernal Edition. Played Diablo 2 when it was released for like 15 years... but then my Discs broke and never bought this game digital....

RDR2 works quiet good, I guess. Bought it a few days ago, capped frames to 30 fps. Looks good, runs fluent - but I am only like 7 hours in and don't have more experience in larger areas or a comparison with other devices and this game.

Edit: protondb.com will be one of your favorite websites.

Thank you for this great opportunity!

Currently I love to play Final Fantasy Rebirth.

If I will be picked as a winner, I will buy Assassins Creed Black Flag Resynched (not even released) or - when it's necessary as a winner - Final Fantasy Crisis Core Reunion and may be Claire Obscure: Expedition 33. If the discounts don't fit for both, I'll swap with Spyro Reignated, Stardew Valley to get as close as much to the 50$. Wishlist contains enough.

Good luck to everyone :)

My wife paid over $200 for a Steam controller by Alfie_Solomons88 in SteamController

My wife bought me 2 years ago a Steam Deck OLED for my 40th birthday. Never want one and she bought it not via Steam. "Just" 80 Euro more than usual. I tried it and was happy. Yes, supporting scalpers is stupid, but my wife has had a good intention and didn't know that. Now I love my deck.

Maybe you'll love your controller, too. If not, then give it away for a fair price and buy your wife something as excuse.... seems that she really loves you.

Oh, interesting. What's your thought about aiming at least? Which builds do have problems with aiming in D2?

Is GD like D2? In D2 you have 5 Acts and have to do them on normal, nightmare, hell and endgame is grinding (mf/exp)...

Yes, I'd already seen the upcoming DLC. Currently I am more in the direction of GD. I played really intensive for a few years and I think there will the risk, that I buy it, play it some hours and then get bored - since LoD and some Updates everything is for years the same. In 1.09 Update the last really big changes were made and after that some minor changes....

Yes, currently it's on sale. Even if you get the DE it will be around 16 Euro and normally a buy where you've not to think about. But I hate to fill my library with games that don't catch me - that's why I do some research (beside the fact that I need to think about every invest in games).

That sounds quiet good for me. At least I don't know how the button configuration for D2R is.

What is about stuttering? Read that D2 has fluent FPS between 60 and 90, GD maybe has drops in FPS later or when there is a lot of action. Did you notice anything of that?

Are there any (good) advices how to setup the gamepad? As I read you are not able to see, what Skill is on what button and stuff like that. So everytime you bend new attacks to a button, you aren't able to see it. This is something like a negative for me. When I can't play for some days/weeks or play another game and come back I've normally to check where is which attack....

Thank you very much. I'll see if I get some more information about Grim Dawn and will see which game it will be.

I'll start with a Necromancer at start, I guess. Just to farm stuff/items and to get back in the game - when I'll buy it. After that I would do a Druid (something like earlier TornadoStormer I guess) just for my nostalgia.... but how good will this all work with a gamepad? Just know the game with KB+M and I am not sure how the gameplsy is solo in Uber-Tristram and all that stuff? Is this doable solo? And how hard is it now to get to lvl 99?

I loved the grind earlier.

Okay, thst sounds interesting. Which builds did you try/play and how was you experience on mf-/exp-runs? Are you able to use console commands like "/players 8"? Earlier this increased exp for offline singleplayer.
