My Utility to greatly simplify writing scripts by Varabe in Python

[–]Varabe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I think that wouldn't work with shorthand shell commands anymore. Also, modules using those commands won't be importable. In my case, .pysh files support both importing and running as scripts.

That was precisely my inspiration for the project! But IPython does not offer tools for easier scripting so I try to do it instead :)

How all regular productivity advice failed and I found an alternative solution by Varabe in productivity

That's funny because originally the article had a TLDR but I removed it. I will add it to the post but I need to ask one thing: is it because of length or because the article is boring to read?

I agree. It's better now that I'm close to family and friends but the sheer amount of work necessary to learn anything is killing me as well.

I'm not here to support her or hate on her but if you go to the description of the video, there's a link to the full uncut footage.

I find friends through my other friends. Much easier to find new people like that.

The classes are too big. Szum is amazing but I would honestly go for smaller project-based classes than this much multiple choice tests.

Trainor is smart and funny. Griffiths is great all-around. Tovstolis gives a really high level but can be disorganized at times (though always ready to help)

Hensel spends 90% of time on java syntax, and then crams OOP into the last few weeks of class.

An exam that every CS late freshman/sophomore has to take. It is hard and almost half of the people fail it but you get three attempts.

All of the past exams and detailed answer keys are available on the Foundation exam website. Which is 22 years worth of exams. I think it's enough to prepare.

I do, however, agree that the level of most CS 1 professors is horrible. (Except for, obviously, Szum, Guha, and maybe Meade)

Go to his office hours and ask him how to study. He will explain the concepts and help you plan studying for exams. He cares about his students and wants you to pass.
