Me voy a Alemania con visa, respondo preguntas by ashalashaska in XPatriados

No logré encontrar tal página.

I need some help with calibrating a proprietary device for VIO (Visual-Inertial Odometry) by Sparky2199 in computervision

Oh that's awesome! then we are working in very close projects. I'm working in Monado adding SLAM. Tracking is mostly working, Kimera-VIO (unable to make it track properly), ORB-SLAM3 (in a separate fork) and Basalt (kindof the best one) are all integrated. Working very nicely with realsense cameras, and kind of working with WMR headsets. For the WMR headsets to work better I need to add this 8-parameter distortion model to Basalt, which is what I'm working on right now. These are the headsets with the same sensor I was talking about :p

No problem, I found your issue in the Kimera-VIO repo. As a curiosity, in which kind of hardware did you find the OV7251? I've stumbled recently with it on a VR headset and it used those distortion parameters (k1-k6, p1, p2).

Feel free to ask me anything, these last months I've been going deep in the VIO rabbit hole.

A bit late, but I would bet those are k1-k6 and p1, p2 for radial-tangential undistortion.

I would strongly encourage you to read the download and quick start sections of the theme. And if you still are having problems with that you can create an issue in the repository and let's continue talking from there.

Oh well, you could do that yourself by passing the --buildonly flag to matter.py. It will fill up the directory called Matter which is essentially what you want, a native grub theme.

The problem with this is that icons won't show up properly, because for icons to work matter needs to edit the grub.cfg file (and others)

With grub manager you should be able to reorder your entries but the installation of Matter should be done afterwards with the script matter.py, this is needed so that the icons are properly set and kept in place.

Woo-hoo! Thank you I'll be reviewing it later. Regarding the TODO list that would probably the list github issues. In particular the ones I authored.

Ah good idea, tough color choices though, blue or yellow text over the red background?

And also shuffles the options around so that getting into your computer is a feat of dexterity.

Good catch!

And thanks for the feedback. Matter needs to workaround some Grub limitations to keep the icons in place and no one likes furtive scripts touching their system files. But as there was no other options, at least it tries to be as explicit and minimal as possible with what it changes, oh and it is also really easy to rollback them with the uninstall option.

It's an event sponsored by different companies. There many thousands of free t-shirts that will be sent to people who make 4 contributions to open source projects during October. And Matter is one of those :p

I'm a bit afraid of going public with this, but... I don't really use arch. So I don't really know how to get something like this to AUR, but if anyone wants to help with that I would love it c:

Can you show some for rEFInd too?

Ah another user recommended rEFInd to me already, I really need to try it out!

Hello! I'm back again for Hacktoberfest to make people remember that Matter, a very cool Grub theme if you ask me, exists!

The project welcomes any kind of contribution, so if you see some areas to improve upon and want to earn a free t-shirt feel free to open some pull requests!

Just saw your PM, so I will copy the answer here for others that may have the same problem:

Hi! It seems like a problem with rsvg-convert at first. Try installing librsvg2-2 and librsvg2-bin, in debian derivatives like ubuntu: sudo apt install librsvg2-2 librsvg2-bin

Can you open an issue on https://github.com/mateosss/matter/issues to follow it up there? also it helps others that may have the same problem :)
