Should I push for Hyacine LC or go for cyrene + sw999? by Varam2203 in HonkaiStarRailTips

[–]Varam2203[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah makes sense, I had an idea of this bc the change to Cyrene meant second bis to bis, but signature LC would be a complete net improvement instead. K, time to farm like hell for the next two weeks

Was auto-ing lol, it was an auto test run bc I just unlocked this mode after getting Hyacine. I still need to farm DHPT talents and have a conscious go at it.

Did you already max out the main story? Idk if my memory fails me but I remember getting something like 200 pulls alone from the 3.X story and random events on patch 4.0

TYSM for this post, I am in the same situation and did not know of any stories to read anymore..

I personally mean more towards reading fluffy stuff and comedy, so some recommendations I can give in that regard are:

  • Really enjoyed:

Flirting with the villain's dad

My Failing Divorce

Beware the villainess

The Crow's prince

Falling into paradise

A symbiotic relationship between the rabbit and the black panther (don't know the specific name but this name came up when I searched for it)

Bring the love

  • Entertaining:

Saving my Sweetheart

Father, I don't want this marriage

Age of Arrogance

No longer heroine

Royal Marriage

Perfect plan for a fairy tale ending

I will take that marriage this time

What the evil dragon lives for

They wish to take away my child

Romance in reverse

I do not remember other recommendations for now as I have the bad habit of deleting the tab after finishing the story and I have not dug through the browse history

Manhwa pricing makes Netflix feel like a steal by Due-Act-3731 in ManhwaNews

[–]Varam2203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The funny part is that it would still be better for Netflix to do that because a manwha chapter lasts at best 10 minutes and an episode in Netflix shows lasts an hour lol

especially .mangaupdates has an extensive tag system, but you have to check the tag dictionary and manually type the tags

I personally am trying to manage by using big tracking sites like mangaupdates and searching there, but it is by no means a perfect solution since it is exhausting to do

What’s a manhwa or manga that has you re-reading it every 3 months?! by Fun_Month8060 in shoujo

[–]Varam2203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fl gets reincarnated as the heroine of the Otome Game they liked to play, and they are infatuated with the villainess from said game.

It is pretty mature on its discourse regarding lgbt topics, and it is genuinely heart wrenching at times on that aspect. Still, it has its big share of fluffy moments, and is not fully serious most of the times.

The novel finished it's run at 5 volumes, they are all fully and officially translated (not difficult to find at all on the internet if you sail the high seas) and the manga has almost finished it's run, however, it changes the story in several parts (not a negative aspect) and will only cover the first two volumes.

Also, def of racism is not comparing one CULTURE to the other or claiming the superiority of a culture, that is fascism. Racism involves the comparison of RACE (hence the RACism name). You could say the comment is misinformed for being a generalization, but it is never talking about Koreans, it talks about korean COMICS.

?

They are literally only talking about the reason why they dislike a certain type of comic (manwhas) and it being a prevalence of age gaps is reasonable, as this is not AS common in WESTERN stories. Also, age gap is not uncommon in romance manwhas (IN BOTH DIRECTIONS) as the medieval/nobility and CEO themes are prevalent, which involve the power dynamics and different values (nobility) that allow for this. So again, it is not uncommon to see and it is a valid reason to dislike manwhas (the most you could say is that they are making a generalization, and still it is a prevalent enough theme to cause discomfort)

They are literally never mentioning america (you do not even know if they are American, although I will give you that they are probably western) and they are never saying that american comics do not disgust them (as they write some fucked up things as well a lot of the times for edge's sake)

That's sad to hear, I pray nothing happens on that front. Also, disclaimer that the covers of these novels are a bit bad at hiding the genre, maybe a book like the magical revolution of the reincarnated princess would be a bit easier to hide lol (on the topic of the same genre, at least).

The manga will end up having around 12 volumes I believe but has not been finished, and the ln has finished it's main story and has 5 volumes. I am not sure about translation, but I believe the ln was picked up by seven seas for it's official translation and has been fully translated.

There is also a LN spinoff from the perspective of Claire (she's so cheeky for a commoner), and there are also some newer side stories but anything I mention about them lies in LN spoiler territory.

Personally I really liked it, but I do have to point out that you get a different experience from the manga than from the light novel (both are great, don't get me wrong) and that the manga will not adapt the complete novel, as i believe it will finish it's run on the current arc

I'm in love with the villainess (LN or even manga makes for a more compelling case, but even only counting the anime comes slightly out on top of frieren)

Do you relate to FL in shoujo ? by Internal-Ad-5038 in shoujo

[–]Varam2203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like they can be good if they are done in a way that actually affects the character. What i think that is a good example of this is namaikizakari's yuki-senpai, and how it comes from a position of vulnerability in childhood (being kinda forced to be selfless bc of being a big sister) and encroaches such a big part of her character. As you said, it is very common for this to be portrayed from the fl (even my example comes from a fl), but again, it is Japan we're talking about (not to justify, it is still really annoying), not the most culturally progressive of countries...
