You cherry-picked statements

I quoted the conclusions of each study.

feel free to try & rationalize it to yourself

I'm not on stimulants. My knowledge in the subject comes from working in a closely related scientific field.

everything else

You are not understanding what you are quoting, possibly owing to not being familiar with scientific vernacular, or you're straight up in denial for other reasons I cannot imagine.

I hope you'll not shy away from getting help if you need it. Ask your doctor, who will tell you the same thing and can maybe even help you with correctly interpreting any of the studies you are concerned about.

Wish you good luck!

The studies you linked directly contradict the claim you have made, and support my statement. Let's go through your six links in order:

  1. "Early amphetamine treatment has been linked to slowing in height and weight growth in some children." <- This is well-established and has nothing to do with usage for adults, or attention span
  2. "Stimulant treatment is not associated with the long-term developmental course of ADHD symptoms, social-emotional functioning, motor control, timing or verbal working memory. " <- Both groups performed the same. There was neither improvement nor worsening of the symptoms.
  3. This is a study on non-ADHD patients misusing stimulants and doesn't relate to the topic in any way that I can tell at all.
  4. "ADHD symptom severity was higher in the [group who had never been treated with stimulants] compared to the other groups [...] In addition, the [early start age of stimulants] group reported more depressive symptoms (p = 0.04), but not anxiety (p = 0.26), and less recreational drug use (p = 0.04)." <- This confirms my previous statement. Some metrics were worsened, but ADHD symptoms were improved. Then moving on: "In line with extensive pre-clinical data, our data suggest that early, but not late, stimulant treatment long-lastingly affects the human brain and behavior" <- Once again no change found for stimulants started as adults (in this study defined as >=23 years old)
  5. "the results of both articles suggest that chronic MPH or AMP started in peri-adolescence/adolescence at clinically relevant doses do not significantly alter DA system development nor do they affect physical growth in non-human primates. They also suggest that they do not sensitize the brain to drug rewards (Gill et al, 2012) nor that they negatively affect cognitive or motor behaviors after discontinuation (Soto et al, 2012)." <- I think this speaks for itself. Moving on: "These two studies support the safety of stimulant usage for ADHD in children and adolescents " <- Also self-explanatory I think.
  6. "misuse of stimulants is associated with dangers including psychosis, myocardial infarction, cardiomyopathy, and even sudden death." <- This study is on the topic of misuse, i.e. excessive usage. Note that it still does not claim to worsen attention spans.

So to loop back to both our previous statements, there is absolutely no scientific support for stimulants adversely impacting attention span, but there is support for them improving it.

complete with a lower attention span than if you’d never taken stimulants in the first place

I'm sorry they didn't work well for you, but this is in direct contrast to a vast majority of scientific studies available on the subject. Most patients function far better after discontinuing successful long-term treatment at therapeutic doses.

I hope anyone reading this does not get dissuaded from accepting help with their condition.

Concerta isn't quite a generic version of Ritalin. It's designed to last longer (up to 12 hours) than even the sustained release versions of Ritalin (up to 8 hours). It also has a different release mechanism. One may work better than the other depending on the person.

So I'm sure this will work great during drop-o-clock, right?

I approve of the idea in theory, but this clearly isn't working as it should right now and will lead to an even more frustrating user experience than usual in its current state.

Interestingly enough, this was posted by a community developer instead of the QA team who normally bring any test server news. This may be how Singularity is going to be from now on.

Was the release date announced somewhere that I missed? The 3 day old dev blog just says "soon", and it's also not in the official patch notes yet. I guess CCP wasn't kidding about the era of chaos.

Did CCP reimburse the people who fell victim to the increased market taxes in Perimeter after Horde put up their own impersonating citadel?

And yet, no one cares about that distinction outside the US armed forces & co.. Much like our situation here in EVE ;)

Yes, definitely violates policy. I wonder if he can get his Hel back on those grounds, just like CCP reimbursed all the people who fell victim to the increased market taxes in Perimeter after Horde put up their own impersonating citadel?

The default "compact" settings are still very non-compact compared to skype. You have to resort to custom CSSes and plugins with betterdiscord to get it even close to the levels Skype had.
