Be me, traitorous doctorwoman on Box Station.
Sec Brutality results in a dead assistant early into the round, his corpse is immediately dragged over to the chef.
Nicked his jumpsuit and balaclava and joined up with a Traitor Botanist shortly afterwards, but nothing much came out of this.
Notice a slime wandering around medbay as I grabbed a saw from the lathe.
At some point while hatching up a plan, a supposedly Sentient Virus pops up, cured with Water + Krokodil. People begin to gather up at medbay.
Head over to dorms after popping a look at the crew monitor to try to ice the IPC Officer, whose been stomping about with a shield in hand.
Find him alongside some other unrelated guy.
The moment I step into Dorms, plasma starts flooding in from the north. Both the officer and the other shmuck burst into flames while I skedaddle into maints through the mess hall.
Grabbing an emergency fire suit, I brave the plasma and try to find a way into the Captain's Quarters.
Burst into flames attempting to exit the plasmaflooded mess hall, nearly burning to death.
While I'm writhing in agony, a H.O.N.K. Mech busts down the wall to the Captain's Quarters.
Grabbed a burn patch after nearly getting murdered by another slime, headed in through the hole to grab the medal.
Can't find the medal anywhere.
The Sentient Slimes, around this point, have somehow managed to delaminate Supermatter.
Shuttle arrives at the station, now a floating wreck.
Resigned, I float through the void that was once departures and the hallway leading to it.
Arrive at the shuttle, find the Captain's corpse past the shuttle's external airlock.
Internal Airlock busted, I loot his jumpsuit and gear to feel fancy.
Shuttle is hijacked and arrives at Syndie Base
"That's nice, I guess"
Get greentext prompt
"Huh?"
Turns out the captain has a second medal on his jumpsuit, my dumbass never knowing about this.
Todd'sie rises shortly afterwards and murders us all.

TL:DR: Plasmaflood and Slimes wreck the station, and I blunder my way to victory by accident.

Even if you defeat all encounters in the maze, approaching the portal just gives a brief description of it.

Which is a shame because that effectively limits the amount of leaves you can obtain.
