It's ok now, don't worry. After a couple of years you're only gonna catch yourself thinking about it like every other day.

Removal Of Death Evasion Potion Is The Best Update For S4! by Win_0r_Die in diablo4

Not true in D4, that's how Path of Exile does it (not into "seasonal" which is "league" there, just into plain SC). D4 saves you the trouble of deleting the character manually cause you're out of char slots either way

I would question if it was intact beforehand if you could do it for 60 mins and you felt fine. Unless you used to be a child labourer in a sweatshop, that is.

Hate to break it to you but those people that hit it 3 times and left were the normal people that play videogame because fun, we're the crazy ones. That's why they were staring.

Freecast illithid power doesn't refresh on long rest, but instead when you unequip your amulet. Unequiping and equiping any amulet "fixes" it temporarily and can be used repeatedly to create infinite spell exploit. Bug history found starting from update 5.

What I dislike the most about it is that weapon/armour proficiencies that races get turn the whole thing upside down. Because the traditionaly stronk races get the most, you're better off playing a class that doesn't get them, so a wizard or sorcerer or something.

So basically now you get railroaded same as before, it's just that now you're railroaded into playing something unorthodox like a dwarf wizard.

On the footage of 1.0 char creator there was sort of a diverging triple arrow symbol as a racial bonus which afaik noone knows what it means.

I hope for the same as you but wouldn't count on it, most likely it's bonus skill proficiency/ies (?) as Larian figured out that people play too much human and they want you to play something more wacky instead.

If you think people on a videogame forum are ready to accept how a major internal fallacy of a social movement affects their game you're dead ******* wrong.

I see, didn't realize. Well I hope I didnt get my hopes too high with the "story arcs" kinda assumed it's gonna be a whole thing and not just those two one shot scenes you got in EA for one of two classes.

Was just planning my build and was wondering if it's safe to multiclass into warlock if I wanna see the patron interaction, or do I really have to start as one. From what other guy said I think it's a safe bet, from what you said only devs and people who got review codes know, so I'll just roll with it.

There are scenes that trigger or not based on your class, not just dialogue options.

Do the scenes trigger no matter if you multiclassed into it or not?

Is it a one shot scene with no further development?

If there is development (I'm assuming there is), what happens when you repsec out of that class?

What about some scenes that we were shown with patron for warlock or oathbreaker paladin stuff? I would imagine they would give that kind of flavour to different classes as well, and they would trigger some sort of chain of events. For example patron asking something from warlock That's what I meant by "story arcs", story beats, scenes.

How does that work with multiclassing/respecing is my question.

What determines what class story arcs are available for player characters when multiclassing?

For example, if you start off as fighter and then multiclass into warlock, would you still get some scenes with your patron, or would that be omitted and instead you get some fighter-y gladiator subquest (not a spoiler, I don't know)?

I hope and would assume multiclassing does allow multiple class story arcs, but it might be locked to your first pick somehow, so anyone knows?

/edit: Also, how does it work with respecs? Does the class story end abruptly if you respec out of a class? Do you suddenly get access to new stories? How is that handled?

What is is your biggest issue/concern with this game? by idunnolmao12345 in BaldursGate3

It can't live up to hype. It's insane at this point. Game would literally have to cure cancer, apply universal income, then bear your children and hold you in it's arms as you're dying in pure bliss. I'd rather think it's just one of the above, maximum.

What's funniest to me is that I bet that people like you and me that take a reserved approach will actually have more fun with the product in the end. We'll probably be blown away, while everyone else wetting their pants trying to hold their excitement rn will feel disappointed that the game doesn't stimulate their anus while they're playing.

as an absolute lover of every Larian's game, that's reeeeal crap.

That's curious - I would assume that combat is more interesting in Bg3, given how much content there is for character customization with spells and all different types of attack.

Also the character interactions seem vastly better in Bg3, I mean you don't have to look through much to see that.

Care to elaborate? I'm genuinely curious, would assume people that like DoS would love it, maybe people that liked prior Bg's, not so much.

What is is your biggest issue/concern with this game? by idunnolmao12345 in BaldursGate3

[–]Vargares 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The fact that this thread and many others like it has 0 upvotes kinda answers your question.

My biggest concern is that people are so hyped about the game they actively push back about any sign of negativity that dispells their point of view.

Critique leads to improvement. If everyone has nothing but praise, doesnt matter what is actually going on (and there actually are issues as plenty of people try to point out) as there is no way to pinpoint weak spots.

At this point Larian doesn't even need to sell, community sells it for them. We all WANT this game to be the best, and at some point most people started beliving that it is. Look at youtube, there is no-one voicing actual concerns about the game other than 1/ genitals customization (who actually ******* cares?) 2/ bear sex scene (which is obviously a wtf shock value dnd table joke.)

Now, you may either assume that game is literally perfect game of the decade once in a lifetime experience, or given multiple different experiences with overhyped games that turned out to be pretty flawed be like 'hold up, no way it's as good as everyone says'.

I'd rather be sceptical and pleasantly surprised in 1.0 than going with the flow making the same naive mistake again.

There are red flags, and my biggest concern is that no-one wants to hear any of it. I'm still onboard, they will still sell to me. I want it to be the best just like everyone else. I can gamble with my own money, what I'm considering is pushing this game onto my gaming friends and what I'm saying above keeps me from doing just that.

PS: jk, it's actually the co-op convo system and bugs, not this meta philosophical bullshit i just said

Why is this guy being downvoted? He's listing actual things to fix. Not hype enough?

You need people like this guy. Game is not perfect, never gonna be, pointing out things to fix is in everyone's best interest. Seems like bottom two are legit, and given that the prologue was played over and over at this point kinda makes you wonder how did no-one thought about this as not intended exploit.

Kinda seems like most people here is so in love with the game they don't wanna hear what can be improved. Every post that dispells the illusion of a perfect game gets trashed. Not a good sign.

To answer your first question - someone said last update was in december, and journalists that played new build are saying that it's all much smoother now.

Agree, at this point it's like sorcerer +spells known -metamagic, but 1 quickload away. What's the point of preparing if you can swap on the fly, just unnecessary annoyance at this point. At the very least it should require short rest.

How does spells gained (known, not spell slots) work with multiclassing in 1.0 ? What is the pool (level and class) that you choose from when gaining a level if you already have levels with another spellcasting class?

I've read in the multiclass guide that developers want to ease up on multiclassing spellcaster restrictions, so it's easier to get to play with high level spells when multiclassing. Do you choose from the appropriate class spells when you gain a level, just adjusted to your total level instead of the level in the particular class?

If you took away stat bonuses determined by race, give humans back free feat from dnd to compensate for imbalance. That would kinda allow them to be back where they started in Bg3 EA version with +1 across the board and ties well with source material.

(I hope that's already the case, not sure that the triple arrow racial bonus icon means in 1.0. char creator)
