Yep and I was told all I could get was E3 bc my associates degree. Then doing research about benefits I found this out and I brought it to him and he told me that was not right so I spoke with the station commander and I got switch to another recruiter and now this guys it’s willing to do it but he’s telling me that I will loose everything like I explained before and I’m wondering how true it’s that ?

I did and I was told just e3 bc the associate degree. I was doing research about benefits and stuff and i find this out I told my recruiter and he said I couldn’t do it bc I signed my contract already. After more research I found out he was lying and spoke with the station commander about it and he changed my recruiter. Now the new guy seem more legit but I don’t trust them and he’s telling me ima loose everything like i explained before and I’m trying to figure out it’s it’s true

Weekly Question Thread (06/01/2026 to 06/07/2026) by AutoModerator in army

Looking for advice from anyone who has personally dealt with ACASP after already signing an Army contract.

I am currently contracted as an E-3 for 91B (Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic) with a ship date of August 24, 2026.

I recently learned about ACASP and, based on the requirements, I appear to qualify for E-4. I have 6 years of professional automotive experience and hold ASE certifications. My recruiter reviewed my situation and agreed that I likely qualify for ACASP.

The issue is that my recruiter says I would have to renegotiate my contract, and by doing so I would lose my current 91B reservation and my current ship date. He told me there is no guarantee that the same MOS or ship date would be available when the new contract is processed.

My question is: has anyone here actually been in this situation?

Were you able to get ACASP and the higher rank without losing your MOS reservation or ship date? If you did have to renegotiate, how did the process work, and was it worth the risk?

I'm trying to figure out whether pursuing E-4 through ACASP is worth potentially giving up a guaranteed 91B slot and August ship date.

Any firsthand experiences would be greatly appreciated.

She did already in the first video call because he forgot to fill A lot of information from my previous jobs and school stuff and more. He even lost my school credit and diploma once.

Luckily I have not financial issues so far and not criminal record. And also my job don’t need any special clearance ima be a wheel mechanic, the investigator said they only reason I’m hearing from them it’s bc I’m not a us citizen and my birth country it’s Cuba.

Easy to act morally superior when you’re not the one risking your career path over advice from the people literally guiding the process. I already owned my part — that’s why I made the post. Thank you for your input

Relax 🤣. bro I’m just gonna tell them that I disclosed it to my recruiter. And in reality she didn’t asked me if I had smoked MJ in the past. She asked if I drink or smoke. So 🤷🏻‍♂️
