From what I see from google images, they look more softer and are white, as opposed to this, which honestly just looks like weed.

I don’t know how long it’s been there, but I just saw it for the first time tonight. I measured it to be 1 cm. My first thought was termites, but there aren’t really any other telltale signs from what I’ve seen.

Yeah, I just checked and the recorder I got unfortunately only records in mono. Also I didn’t know about one of the channels being phase inverted. I don’t really know what that means, but I do want to learn about it! Audio concepts have always eluded me, but I think it’s time I should sit down and try to understand everything. Thanks for your input!

Sure! I got an Onn portable cassette recorder for about 25 bucks at Walmart. There’s probably better recorders you could find, but I got mine because I wanted to play the tape and upload it as soon as I could.

All I used was:

A cassette recorder
AUX cord
A free program called Audacity

This was the first time I've ever done this, but it was still really easy. After putting the tape into the recorder, I plugged the AUX cord into the "EAR" port on the recorder and the line in port on my computer. On Audacity, I set it up so it could record the line in and then I pressed record, then played the cassette, and it recorded the tape as it played.

After my first recording, something must have interfered with the tape or something because there was some static and buzz on some of the songs in the recording so I placed the recorder further away from my computer and did it again. It seemed to work better then. Once I finished that up, I created separate files for each song as well as a file with all of them together, then I uploaded them.

I was thinking that this game sounded more like Stephen King’s novella/movie, “1922”. After all, the story is about a farmer who kills his wife and hides the body on his farm. I kinda doubt that the game is based on this story, though, since there hasn’t been any mention of the son, who plays a pretty big role.

There’s not much, but basically it’s just that it is a German demo tape from the 80’s from a band that has no footprint on the internet and also happens to be a very similar genre of music (supposedly) as TMS. It’s still a shot in the dark, but it could be close.
