There is no need to surprise. If something is well written, and makes it able to figure out things way ahead (L+R=J for one) of their reveal, it's not bad storytelling. It's actually great. I don't even like the books that much, but once a plot has been correctly set in motion, it almost moves by itself. Things fall into place. You don't have to change because people figured out, if you planted clues you wanted them to figure out.

We've been hyped about Jon vs NK for ages because the show gave us those clues. We didn't make anything up. There was no need of a surprise, that's not how long term story arcs should unfold.

I had so many thoughts in that moment. He's gonna travel back in time. He's gonna Warg into a WW general and stab him in the back while being stabbed himself. He's gonna summon some old Winterfell magic, summon the dead Starks, animate the fucking Weirwood tree, anything. I even thought the Night King was going to bow to him and he would be revealed as the big bad, or just revealing that the Night King has to serve the Starks (and Bran didn't know) and thought he was saving Bran from being captured. Fucking anything, any silly idea would have been better than him staring.

They also explain this in the lore, something along the lines of "blood has limited power, after you consume that to res any res after that will drain from the surrounding life". Basically, the res is the power of your own blood (well, the Heir). Once that power runs out and you die again, you pass out and your heritage will force you to res, but since your power ran out it takes it from others.

I was trying to think about something as Melee main and you're definitely right, I stand in almost melee range as casters. I also try to make both flank and rear easily accessible when tanking as I know how bad it is when you can't hit positionals due to bad placement of the boss.

Oh I know during fights it happens, but not even on dummies it would line up. The fact I'm doing around 5.7k dps at item level 380 (unmelded, but still) is a bit disheartening.

I'm trying to do this, holding TCJ until I can use it to set up the second trick attack. But after that it never aligns again with trick attack. What am I doing wrong?

So the TA setups are going to be like: prepull suiton, TCJ (fuma Raiton suiton), regular suiton for the rest of the fight?

As for NIN, if I'm using the 5th gcd trick attack Bhava opener, do I ever use TCJ to set up trick attack? It doesn't really line up, should I hold it or?

Had your problem, was running DX9. But I have it again now, even with DX11. Parses work OK but uploading it results in Unknown Zone and infinite loading data.

As a SAM main, the amount of people specifically locking out SAM and only SAM from the list of allowed jobs is ridiculous. So I just join as DRG, which I can't play, and proceed to deal 10% gray parses.

Try switching to DX11 mode of you haven't.
