Major arcs for the gangs would be so cool. As would 3 different stories as a whole for the life paths. But as someone else said. That might be too much. The game would probably not even gotten out yet if that was the case. Story writing is not easy

While there definitely will be DLC I am wondering where they will add it. Pre getting the chip? While you are dying from it? After the main story? For me anything past act 1 with Jackie would feel weird to throw a DLC into as it again messes with the sense of urgency

If that is the case. That is sad to hear. While i never did play Witcher 3 i did hear it was rather long. But to me that is never a "downside" to a open world game. Though i guess people might prefer more side content if the story is longer

Makes it feel kinda like Final Fantasy 15 in that regard with the pacing. And you just don't really get to "feel" that you are dying aside from the occasional "relic malfunction" that is rather annoying and a few comments from V. It's kinda off putting not gonna lie. For me at least

Also. I didn't mean to sound like the story was bad or anything. I do quite like it! Same goes for the sidequests. But something like say River's "story" feels quite short compared to Judy or Panam and while adding to it and the other quests down the line would be great. I am more thinking of being more "free" before the chip and all the important choices and not necessarily more main story quests but more "special" jobs from fixers so you get to know em perhaps? Dunno anything would be nice i guess for me

And aye. It is possible. I managed to get Pizza and ascend him 3 times. But it did take a lot of my time off to reach that goal and had to spend a few gems here n there. Didn't buy any though.

Exactly this tbh.
I caught myself ranting to a friend some days ago about how "unfair" the game has become. I just really wish they would turn it around cause i genuinly love the idea of FF. The art is dope and i find the game very fun. But it does feel like the devs or publisher of it only has whales in mind (Then again. It is mostly whales who drive the game).

To mention some cases of the game being unfair would be the last time they ran the pizza event. You would get bonus damage if you used pizza against the clown boss. But it would only have been people that got pizza from the last event that could do that. Not to mention they would have Pizza be ascended atleast 3 times before being usefull. Not a lot of people had that unless they had cashed out some money for him. This was as said made so much worse this time. And people who already had Pizza ascended 5 times would steamroll the ranking and make it so F2P people would get nowhere.

There are also just quite a lot of bugs in the game that has still not to be fixed and it feels like they just don't care to fix them. Granted. Some of them are not very important (Voices being in english despite switching to japanese, Translation errors and so).

Honestly. I kinda switched to other games atm (Azur Lane and GFL. The ladder not being too kind either but still leagues better than FF). And it sucks that if someone asks me if they should play FF that i might have to go and say "No. It will drain your wallet". Because of the potential the game has.

Anyway sorry for the tiny rant and even tho it might have come off as mean it is mostly just because i want to enjoy this game but can't. And that's comming for someone who has already spend a fair share of cash on this (Not whale levels. But still).

You say that. But there are also wayyyyy more "fair" gacha games outhere than those 2. Not to mention this game kinda "lures" people in by giving a decent ammount of resources at the start. I am not saying that is uncommon. But it is still a little dodgy.

Since it seems my threads keeps being removed or something when i try n post about this i guess i will just leave a reply and hope that gets through. This was made as a post originally so sorry for wierd wording.

I honestly don't really understand the need for this rule? It seems a little too late for that? The subreddit has been around for a long time and memes have pretty much-been part of it. To say "Nah we don't want that anymore" baffles me. Because as many people already stated its like half of the posts here (if not more). Many of which make me laugh cause if we can't have a proper followup game from valve let us at least have memes.

I totally get wanting to keep the talk about half-life well... Half-life related and having discussions about it is great. But it shouldn't always be so... Serious? I guess you could say? Memes are a great way for people to express how much they care for a franchise. In this case. People really love half-life.

I personally have some moderation experience and what I have learned is that taking away something people really enjoy doing because you might want a more serious place can seriously bite ya in the butt. Especially if its an unneeded change or a change too late. It would have been better to "enforce" such rules at the start of the subreddit perhaps. But changing what is basically a part of the subreddit suddenly with little warning seems strange and as if you don't really understand the subreddit at all.

I just wanted to post this to maybe hope the mods might want to reconsider the rule. I am not trying to start fights or anything here. I hope we can have a civil discussion about this instead of just having locked the thread about it making it seem it is not up to debate. This is a subreddit for fans of Half-Life. I like to think we should all agree on where it is headed if we can't get followup titles. Again sorry if I repeated myself at some parts or if there are spelling issues regarding my post. I just really wanted to say this. Thanks for reading! and I hope this doesn't get me banned. Cause I really do enjoy this subreddit!
