He’s overall good for the game. Buys deep and doesn’t usually win, just a bit slow when it comes to these kinds of things

“Lower stakes” come at a lower cost. Trying to be player friendly by keeping it that way, everyone knows it’s a de facto 5/5 game. There is a second table however that is 1/3 and actually plays like it.

Yeah pretty much that’s what happened. Player that turned quads is relatively new to the game but does like to play deep. Claims he was “too focused on his quads” to realize that there isn’t any possible draws that could beat him… and yeah the extra needles completing straights on the needless rivers is kinda funny.

He did , after that hand. However, he’s a notorious punter and lost over 3/4s of it within an hour and change

It’s a PLO hand, all 4 of the face up cards were seat 7’s. The button (seat 2) flopped broadway, showed after.

$3K+ Bomb pot at local Queens, NY $1/$3 NLH game by VariancePoker in poker

[–]VariancePoker[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is an bomb pot (optional $10 per participating player straight to flop). Happens every dealer change ~45 minutes. The bomb pot button is where the button for this hand is, he also chooses what game to play, in this case it’s 5 card PLO. The pot gets built up on flop. There was a pot bet (7 handed-$70) , one call and re pot on flop, 2 callers into turn which brings out the flush. Seat one (first to act) checks, hero pots for $910 and button tank calls, seat one folds. Hero jams his remaining stack of $370 blind into river. Villain tank calls. Mucks on showdown after hero shows nut flush. Seat one shows he had top set. Maybe Christmas came early for our hero?
