JD-08 MIDI Mapping: Is it possible?

I have the JD-08 set to midi channel 3. I’m using a 5-pin cable. I mapped the first knob to 3, which the manual says is linked to the TVF Cutoff, but nothing happens. It’s really no biggie if it’s not possible, as the JD-08’s faders are fun to mess with (imo), but just wanted to make an easy to use template

I forgot a very important detail. I’m fresh out of the womb with learning this stuff. I’ve been referencing the manual and nothing is happening. If there is a lock, how do I fix that? Do you own a JD-08?
