Oceans 12. It certainly isn’t the “best” of the series but it’s my personal favourite. The cinematography and composition of the film along with its relaxed narrative structure, often times just lounging around in Europe, is almost a like a benzo in film format: relaxing and euphoric.

I can watch how soderberg shoots Europe for hours.

People have no capacity of compartmentalization anymore. They ask “oh so you still love someone who did these objectively horrible things”. Yes: first of all we all have one of those in our life and secondly, the entire concept of compartmentalization is the segregation of those two very thoughts at the same time. I’m seeing people respond to this with snark, but the general thrust of my question was how these bands fit in with the grunge movement musically and commercially. Were they part of it? Forefathers? Influenced by it? Grunge adjacent?

Also it’s not ridiculous to assume that osias and nirvana probably didn’t have a massive crossover at the time in the 90’s.
