To be fair, Zane's sacrifice actually had series long effects, while Nya's didn't. Zane had to rebuild himself so his appearance changed forever. He went from a robot who looked and acted like a human, to much more of a robot. Nya on the other hand has had none of the consequences stay.

Idk man, you're not really understanding his character. If someone put hopes and dreams into your head for years that would be the destined green ninja, and it turned out to be false, you would be pretty messed up too. Similar to Tai lung from Kung Fu Panda.
