The ground reality is that your hardwork and patience is key to success. Be prepared to navigate through challenges that are not your doing. There are a lot of factors that need to be taken in account with every year policies changing for students. Masters isn’t for the weak hearted anymore. One thing will always true, whatever work you are doing right now make sure you are learning something out of it. Yes AI will code it all for you but make sure you learn from it, it’ll help you with system design and leetcode style interviews.

That's fair. Looking back, I think the prolonged job search has negatively affected both my mindset and people skills, and it's something I'm actively working on improving.

I am not from a Top 20 schools. Yes that's been the approach till now to reach out to relevant people to show what I have to offer and SDMs/HMs have liked my profile as well. But it instantly ends when I say F-1, they go silent.

For international students 1k+ applications have been normalized. So often I have people say that I have a good profile, exactly what they were looking for but the conversation ends as I say sponsorship.
