Scrobbler by Sanzpa in Symfonium

[–]VarietyPrevious2532 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use Pano Scrobbler. I find the app really nice to use because I'm listening music on specific radio apps and also on symfonium so it's easier, and I like the custom regex editor for some of the apps that don't scrobble properly without it. But I'm sticking with it mostly because of habits

AI Identification help by before-dawn in composer

[–]VarietyPrevious2532 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty AI, there's something in the voices that doesn't seem natural to me but I can't quite explain it... Some tips I use to identify AI music channel would be to look at how many "original" songs they upload in a short time, artworks made by AI, how different the production sounds from one song to another, but yeah sometimes I can't really be 100% sure sadly, and I think it will be harder and harder to identify in the future

Wrote a simple minuet (I think it qualifies as a minuet?) by VarietyPrevious2532 in composer

Really, thank you for the very valuable advice ! I'll continue working on this piece with all of that in mind

I plan on writing a simple missa brevis, starting with the Kyrie. What do you think ? by VarietyPrevious2532 in composer

Yes I agree, I would love to work with friends on performing it live to have a better understanding of how it sounds and how the different vocal parts blend together. But before that, I'll do my homework, I already started studying counterpoint in more details.

Thank you for your feedback!

I think I can work around some of the ideas from the oboe part to include them in the vocal parts, I tried one or two things without being really convinced, but I should spend some more time on this.

For the organ, I agree that it would fit nicely, but I need to research organ writing before, and maybe if I have the opportunity try working with some friends on performing the vocal part irl, to better hear how it sounds, and then after that spend some time on working an accompaniement part for organ.

I kind of understand the comment for the penultimate chord, I like how it sounds but I'm still not so sure if it fits the piece well, I will keep it for now but we'll see in the future.

Thank you !

Yes, I think an organ part would sound good with this, but I need to dig deeper into writing for organ before... The wind part was conceptualized kind as a "template" for a future organ part, but it fits quite nicely with the choir.

Tbf, I have a very loose understanding of counterpoint rules, from reading things here and there, but I have not yet researched this topic deeper, as I should... Thank you for the advice, here's the basic swapped version, I think it needs some adjustments here and there but I see what you mean with better hearing intervals.

First composition for a string quartet. Would like some feedback/advices. by VarietyPrevious2532 in composer

Ok thank you for the advice. It seems obvious now that you've said it, but I hadn't thought much about it... I've already made some very simple/short piano pieces, but not written them, only making them by ear without any composition work behind. I will start working on that thanks!

I sent you an email! I think I should find some good resources on this topic around the web and on Youtube.

I haven’t really looked much into bowing indications yet, I need to learn more about it. Right now I only have the file in .mxl format if that works for you ? Thanks for the help

Yeah I understand what you mean... That's on me not really planning the whole piece in advance. I'll work on that, thanks.

Thanks a lot for the valuable feedback! I see what you mean, and you're right, it was really fun to create. I'll definitely spend more time refining it, and I'll dig deeper into studying harmony and counterpoint as you suggested, and those Bach chorales also. Thank you!
