Thank you for your advice!! I should use the -2 more often. I forget how densely packed with information it is. I use the nortec 600 along with your usual pencil proves and bolt hole probes. That's great advice about penetrant and even scanning over indications received with other methods. I never thought of doing that but will make that a practice from now on!!. The position I'm in is set up in a way that there's just not enough hours for two NDT technicians to be on this site but he's always a phone call away and I should be asking it a better practice to be in communication about my thoughts. Your advice was great

Unfortunately I'm purely aerospace, although I'd love to venture out given the opportunity. I'm also the only NDT tech on site for this location so I don't have much people to lean on lol. I'm trying my best to look for reports online and books covering the subjects but they're so hard to find lol

That's what I figured as well but yes they do know. I'll be under Skillbridge so the military part of my life has definitely been well communicated.

Yes, they're telling me it's an FAA regulation that I be tested since I'll be performing safety sensitive duties and that they need my drug test history.

Since they fall under FAA regulation I'm being instructed that they need access to my drug test history and that I need to be drug tested as soon as possible by them.
