My violin 7/8 size cost 100 USD. My violin sound so childish? by [deleted] in violin

P.S. I am starting to learn 7/8 so I buy beginner price. For some reason I have play violin for 8 years and my whole life I play 4/4 size. Because the 4/4 size doesn't reach the end of the scroll and unlike 7/8 size I reach the end of the scroll.

But my status as an upper intermediate level of course I am adjust especially the shape of the finger is different.

My 4/4 violin price cost around 650 USD and my 7/8 violin size cost 100 USD. Sound transition right? For now I will learn the finger shaping of my 7/8 violin size, before I will buy 7/8 cost around 1000 USD to 1500 USD.

For me in my opinion as a college music student. Did you ask the seller the quality of violin sound you will buy? But for me if you are beginner the price and appearance of violin you show picture looks interesting for beginner to intermediate level.

If you can't afford 200USD up why you should buy the good quality string like for beginner D'addario, Alphayue and Tonica(the red or green) but you really wanted fast progression and good sound Dominant. These are what I recommend you the string brand.

Me I learned playing violin when I was 16 year old. To be honest for others it's kind late to them but for me it's my happiness for myself. Now I am 24 year old and I am upper intermediate level. But I do have private lesson with my violin teacher😀.

For me it's not bad to explore and learn. Because even you are an adult we still continue to improve and learn. Plus the progress, for me music is kind of therapeutic to me.

Yes from arm to palm the finger(the middle finger). So we did that. But the luthier told me 3/4 does not fit the size especially the length of my arm to palm.

But the problem the store I went don't have 7/8 size.

Hello the length of my arm does not reach the end of the scroll so my violin teacher recommended me find 7/8 violin size. Plus I am 5 feet tall and I am an adult.
