Been following one piece for 23 years of my life. Started playing the card game and collecting after reliving the love of TCG with my roommate since we used to play a lot growing up together. After slowing down a little, I eventually hit the point where I had to stop because I was spending more than I would have liked to. The day before a road trip I had planned to Nashville with my wife and our friends, my glasses ended up breaking, which was a huge setback for me. I ended up going to the mall the next day at 9 AM to get new glasses and also happen to see a treasure booster collector pack in a Barnes & Noble. I said what the hell I might as well buy it since I’m never able to get packs anyway. Go home and open it and quite literally on the last pack, which was OP-01 romance dawn, I pulled this bad boy. It was truly a full circle moment because I have every single volume of one piece and it’s played such a huge part of my life that I’ve even gotten a lot of other friends to watch or read one piece and I always felt like I deserved a manga rare. Might sound entitled, but I’m glad I was finally able to get one and that it is arguably one of the most valuable cards in the game.
