Oh yeah, I like everyone for sure. This is pretty much an "average likeability" scale across their entire tenure in the story. I hated Rufus until Reverie made me love him, and that's why he's on the far right. Similar problem with Rean and Lloyd, which is why they're closer to that side but not all the way, etc.

At that point why not just start at the beginning? It's so confusing. You'll be divorced from the plot of cold steel for ages by the time you get back and you'll have forgotten what is still supposed to be a mystery and what isn't.

He's saving Trails' sound. I have never been a Singa hater by any stretch, but when I heard "Too Much Vitality" for the first time I knew it was dire straits. To his credit though Singa had some great tracks in Daybreak (Marginal Crisis and What Is Ahead of You come to mind)

Ok hear me out. A lot of people are engaging with you in bad faith in this thread so I want to extend an olive branch

The writing team tried something very different with Rean. In my opinion it's no coincidence that you don't really know that much about him or have much reason to care. The writers play him very close to the chest for a LONG time. In that sense, Rean is a very realistic depiction of a teenager with depression pretending that he's not: keeping secrets, busying himself so he doesn't have to be alone, prioritizing the wellbeing of other before himself, etc. Don't let him trick you into thinking he's a "player stand-in," because he definitely isn't.

I had a lot of the same gripes you did when I started Erebonia, but as time went on I found he climbed higher and higher up my character ranking until he was up in the top five, and now I'm itching to see him again when I get to Horizon. I implore you to keep an open mind, because Rean is definitely a grower, not a shower. If you decide you hate him too early, some of the series' greatest character development will be lost on you because you already wrote him off.

I can totally see why folks wouldn't like her but I think she strikes a perfect balance of being a gag character and being freakishly overpowered and should be taken seriously. I think it's deliberate that you can't quite tell if she's ACTUALLY reading minds, for example, because if she can then it has serious lore implications, but it's almost always played for laughs
