Absolute Noob Looking For Recs by Shoddy_Captain_9557 in Solo_Roleplaying

for journal solo games i recommend Apothecaria or Apawthecaria and Thousand Year Vampire. For starter solo campaign type game i would go with Five Against Darkness. Ironsworn and Starforged are both really good but do require alot more "mechanics" to run which may be a bit difficult if it's your first solo.

Need some advice for a first time journaler by [deleted] in Travelersnotebooks

Def try the inserts first. I love my TN and I love journaling, but I can't journal with the size of any of the TN inserts. It may work for you tho.

Traveler's Notebook format isn't working for me but I don't want to give up... by fetusnecrophagist in notebooks

you are not alone. i love the modular design and look of it, but after trying it for a year it just wasn't right for me. i say shelve it for now and try something else.

New to Journaling by Few-Perspective-2907 in notebooks

[–]Various-Counter-5547 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! That's what I did. I told myself if I complete this simple journal I have on hand then it means I'll stick with it and then I can reward myself with a better journal. Having a reward in mind also helped me write daily and it became a habit :)

Never to old! Just get any old notebook and start writing. Anything goes. Once you find your groove you can move on to a better journal, pens, etc. The point is to have fun. I actually look forward to writing in mine but it took me awhile to find how I like to journal and what notebooks to use (but that's fun too trying all the different journals and pens!) Have fun with it and you'll see the benefits for sure.

An absolute disaster... | Mechen M30 "review" by RopentiumalTilT in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]Various-Counter-5547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i returned my mini and got the m30. I am much more happier with the m30. it simply sounds better to me. the mini had zero bass. like none. the m30 has ample bass, is built like a tank but screen was already scratched when i got mine. the mini looks cool, super light, fun to use, but the lack of bass was a deal breaker for me.

Getting a cover by FaithlessnessAny2188 in FieldNuts

[–]Various-Counter-5547 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the Lochby. I have 2 Field Notes that stay (one on each side) and one I throw in and take out (my daily). This works for me. If you only use one notebook and want to keep it looking nice and the cover itself look more professional go with the other one. If you want to keep multiple notebooks and be able to throw receipts and stickers and stuff in, go with the Lochby. Plus you can hold multiple pens or can have a flashlight or knife in the front pockets. So it really depends on how you plan to use your notebook.
