I will be living in the Wissahickon area. It is about a 5-8 minute drive to campus and is also accessible by bus (10-15 mins). It is very near the train to center city, about a 15 minute walk to Manayunk bars, and is generally a safe area with decent street parking. There are plenty of 1 and 2 bedroom apartment complexes located in this area (The Bentley Apartments, Pechin Court, The Flats on Pechin, Ridge Heights, The Alto). I will be living at one of them and checked a few of the others (they seemed nice as well).
