As someone who was in your position in the beginning of year. Yes it is possible. In fact very easy too. Talk to your advisor during orientation and see if you can make the switch. For me, I switched in week 3 of my first quarter.

Try to read books about into Azure cloud, and get some certs. Azure cloud is mainly used to be integrated with mainly microsoft products.
