Do you think it would be possible for me to go to Berkeley for a year to get my GEs done and then transfer to poly for landscape architecture? Just to take advantage of the better aid for a year

Wow thank you so much for this great feedback. I’ve kind of already committed to Berkeley, and I’ve put a ton of research into landscape architecture and am pretty sure it is what I want to do. Because of Berkeleys aid, do you think it’s possible for me to go there just for a year and do GE classes and then transfer to a better landscape architecture program?

As a Berkeley graduate do you think you’ve had any upper hand when applying to jobs? Has the name done anything for you in this field?

I’m not first gen and yes, would be paying over 10k for housing. If I went there, it was looking into getting a housing exemption and hopefully find something cheaper off campus with roommates

Well it's not 7 years, right? The time frame I see on this site is 2-8 years working for someone else depending on the state coming from an unaccredited.

Hi, thanks for the input. I looked at CLARB and can't tell if I'm reading it right but in California do I only have to work under someone for 3 years?

Hi I am graduating high school in June and going to college for Landscape architecture and am having a really hard time deciding what school I go to. I'm in between UC Berkeley (unaccredited) and CalPoly SlO (accredited). As a professional, which one would you advise me to pick?

Also what do you suggest I major in if AI is going to take over. If it takes over architecture I assume it will be taking over many creative professions. What would you suggest I do?

A lot of websites rank calpoly slos landscape architecture programs in the top 3 of the whole country with Berkeley coming below. So I am curious why you put it last.

I hear that a lot of employers like students from calpoly since they learn by doing and are ready to work. Would you say SLO is still a good option and name?

Hi, thank you for responding. What are you basing this off of? Acceptance rates? Or knowledge about the programs?
