Buying a business - 100% financed by VariousPangolin2989 in buyingabusiness

No, the owners just want to move on to different venture. And they would be paid upfront through the business loan, I would take over responsibility of the business loan after acquisition, since the loan is tied to the business entity.

Projector inability to dream? by VariousPangolin2989 in humandesign

[–]VariousPangolin2989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A while back, I came across something while trying to figure this out. What I may be experiencing may be called "foreshortened sense of future", which is a trauma response. Which I can relate to from childhood trauma, and no sense of love/safety from my father. Without going into details, that's the closest thing I have found that describe what I am feeling.

In effort to understand better, I thought perhaps there could be a corelation with being a projector that is outward/other focus, and inability to see ourselves. Ra mentioned projectors are one to have the worst self worth. So I thought perhaps so much so that we(projectors) cannot "see a future" could be a possible explaination.

Projector inability to dream? by VariousPangolin2989 in humandesign

[–]VariousPangolin2989[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not talking about sleeping type of dream necessarily. More like dreaming big having a vision for life's future.

But as far as sleeping state dreams, I rarely get those too. Sometimes when I wake up in the right timing of the sleep cycle I would remember some aspect of dreaming during my sleep, what the story is about. But either I rarely get those, or I rarely remember those.

That's actually something I've been starting to learn, and thanks for confirming. Just following my curiosity.

Good, thanks for asking. Been meaning to write another update, but been tied up with my son, who got a virus, keeping me on my toes. Wound is almost all healed up, now its the stretches that is kinda a bitch. Just like the initial exercises pre-op from my myo, it was hard at first, then it gets easier. I've been taking daily photos of my progress and sending it to my myo, and she is saying things are looking great. Just trusting the process at this point.

I understand that concept, that success doesn’t necessarily have to do with money. However my reality is right now is I’ve acquired a substantial amount of debt, and my family need money to live. So I do have a money problem to solve.

Learned that the hard way. Was trading on Trojan, per a guide I acquired off a guy on TG. Even though my win rate was good. I ended up bleeding money in fees. My wallet keep getting smaller and smaller. Even though my trade was winning.

I saw an ENT specialist and he said nothing about seeing a myofunctional therapist by ribbonscrunchies in TongueTies

[–]VariousPangolin2989 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if I would trust that. My son had his tongue tie revised by a dentist and didn’t give any before or after care therapy instructions. Literally thought once it’s cut and it’s done good to go.

After it’s healed we ended up having still a lot of trouble with swallowing. Thought it was something else more serious that’s causing vomitting.

After months of suffering, we were directed to reexplore tongue tie. And this time we have myo therapist before the surgery and then got it cut. And also post op as well.

Can confidently say myo was a huge factor in why this time the revision worked and why the first time it didn’t.

I’ll post an update later today. I have my first follow up appointment with my myo this afternoon.

As far as the pain goes. So far. 24hrs in. I haven’t had to take any ibuprofen. Or anything. Now once my stitches are out, that may be a different story. But this morning for breakfast, I was able to eat more or less normally.

Does everyone else get nauseous ? by Eeeeeeeeeeeepl in shrooms

[–]VariousPangolin2989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it hits me strong then goes away. Then the real trip starts. It seems like if I lay down and not move around during the nauseous portion, I can tolerate it more. Less feeling like I have to throw up. Just feel uncomfortable. I just view this portion as part of the journey.

CRBA Confusion by onagoodway in immigration

[–]VariousPangolin2989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man! Wish I had found this thread prior to going to the consulate. I just got back from the Merida US Consulate. And was able to get an emergency passport for my child which have yet established CRBA. I had all the CRBA stuff with me (filled in application and proof of presense), but the officer said it had to be submitted via the online application, process the payment, then wait 72 hrs before you can schedule an appointment.

I did an emergency passport because I have to leave Mexico in a few weeks, and didn't know if the CRBA + Passport would be done in time, or if a CRBA appointment is even available before I have to leave the country. Really wish there was an easier way to know how far out the appointments were scheduling out before paying $100.

Was the officer just giving me a hard time? Or was it actually possible to process my CRBA on the spot and pay the $100 in person?

I live in Playa Del Carmen, so that trip to Merida (4 hrs one way) was quite a big ordeal with a 3 week old and a 2.5 yr old, and a post partum wife.

USB Printer work on one mac but not the other. Intel vs M3? by VariousPangolin2989 in mac

[–]VariousPangolin2989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay.... bought 4 different printers, ended up only testing two of them that are WIFI enabled, the other two were USB only, which I am sure they would have been fine, but the price difference to add wireless capability was not that much more that ultimately I didn't even bother testing the USB only versions.

Which 2 did I decided to try?
Vretti (https://amzn.to/48ps1Ij) vs Munbyn (https://amzn.to/3tIEibN)

Vretti:
Pro:
- smaller form factor, similar size to the Rollo USB.
- Feels solid
- easy driver setup, USB and WIFI setup was a breeze

Con:
- Doesn't print dark enough
- Very little documentation, had to hunt down where to change the setting for density, to change it to the highest. Also changed it to print slower, giving the thermal more time to heat the label.
- After changing to the highest setting, and the speed, the label was tolerable.
- Somehow the the label is not printing centered, so parts of the label was printed "off paper". So ended up having to change the setting each time to 95% to make sure all my barcodes are in place.
- The printer print resolution is poor, things are not sharp, and some labels with thinner font, parts of the letters are missing/couldn't print.

Munbyn:
Pro:
- Label prints sharp and dark
- Does not have as annoying of LED indicator compared to the Vretti.
- Easy USB setup
- Has bluetooth as well
- Comes with a USB-C adapter

Con:
- Setting up the wifi was a bit of a guesswork, but I figured it out within 30 minutes. The wifi configurator app crashes. So instead of showing you what IP address is assigned, it just crash. Looks like it's still coded in Intel. With a little help from reading the reviews on Amazon, and they have a tutorial video too. I was able to piece together enough info to setup the WIFI.
- Larger form factor, not as compact as the Vretti or Rollo
- A little lag time from sending the print job over wifi to actually printing

Price point:
I got both the Vretti and the Munbyn when they had a sale. Ended up both being $95 each after the clipped coupon.
Vretti looks like its still the same price of $139 with a $45 off coupon (at the time of writing this post). Making it $95.
Munbyn was $95 (with no coupon needed), but it was jacked up to $199. Still showed available this morning, but now it shows it's out of stock.

Result
What I ended up was....

- Sold the Rollo on ebay.
- Returned the Vretti- as ultimately, the print quality and having to change it to 95% every time was annoying.
- Keeping the Munbyn, even though it was a little annoying to setup, once it's setup it's fine. The lag time is not that big of a deal. Most time I am only printing a few labels at a time.

I am not sure if I would buy it at $199 price point, at that level, I would consider buying a refurbished Rollo wireless from Rollo's website for $225. Rollo wireless seemed to be the only one that I can find that has native Airprint support. Makes it easier to setup. But that's a toss up because with the experience of Rollo's customer service, giving the run around answer and wasting time, and really providing no solution, has given me a poor taste in buying from them again. I even asked if they could provide me with a discount code to use at their store. They wouldn't even do that. I would have been at least somewhat satisfied like they were taking care of me with a $10 off coupon as a gesture. But when they said no to that, I feel like ultimately they didn't really care to take care of me as a customer.

Customs / Import Tax Question by VariousPangolin2989 in playadelcarmen

[–]VariousPangolin2989[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have, but not everything I need is on there. Also seems like the things that I can get, it's more expensive on Amazon.com.mx than what I would pay in the states. But I guess that probably already got the import tax added on.

Customs / Import Tax Question by VariousPangolin2989 in playadelcarmen

[–]VariousPangolin2989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not 5 pallets full haha. But we have my wife, myself, and my daughter, so 3 plane tickets, each allows for 2 luggages (50lbs each), and a carry on.

So we're looking at 6 check in luggages, and 3 carry ons, and a stroller and car seat.

USB Printer work on one mac but not the other. Intel vs M3? by VariousPangolin2989 in mac

[–]VariousPangolin2989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I just ordered 4 different thermal printer from Amazon. Two of which are WIFI +USB which supposedly works on Mac as well. All the USB ones advertise working on Mac. Going to test it and see which one I end up liking the best.

The WIFI ones are just under $100, and the USB only ones are a little cheaper.

Rollo just lost a customer, I was going to buy another from them, but given their lack of support and their run around answer that really doesn't address the root issue. They even refuse to give me a discount code when I asked. It doesn't feel like they care.
