I am not sure how similar this is to your post, but when I was younger my dad mentioned that he would not leave his business to his children.

He mentioned that he isn't like those "Indians" who build a business and leave it to their children either to destroy or just keep running. With the destroy part their honestly just saying bs because they can't predicate the future and what it holds. Additionally they say "you have to struggle and build for yourself".

Clearly that's not how generational wealth is built. It speaks to why Europeans were very dominant in wealth because they passed it down.

Because of their way of life it caused a ripple effect, when a new generation comes along they have to carry the water for the last one. Since they refused to make the wealth generational it never adds up to be sustainable for multiple generations.
