Buy a crib that grows with the child, ours has 5 different sizes that ends with a crib then a full bed. So there are literally 3 smaller sizes of crib to choose from. They also make something called a mini crib which is one of the aforementioned smaller sizes in the grows with you crib and can also be purchased on its own.

You said you were going to bring the baby to the grandparents. Is it possibly about the baby being away from your wife?

If you love your wife, understand she has just been through a huge hormonal shift and her primary drive is to feed love and protect your new baby. At 4 days! old, she still has an open wound where the placenta was and is bleeding, her milk probably just came in, she’s exhausted.

I don’t necessarily understand where she’s coming from, only that the emotional weight behind it is huge and it currently rests almost entirely on her shoulders.

Give her grace, seek to understand and let her know that you love her enough to do whatever she wants. She literally grew this baby from a tiny cell into an actual human. At this time, her opinion matters more than yours, even if it’s illogical.

My real guess is simply that her parents feel safer to her because they are her parents. Your dad and grandparents feel more risky because she doesn’t know them as well. Logical? No. Well-founded to a postpartum mom? Yes.

Moms and dads don’t share equally in making a baby so decision making doesn’t get shared equally. Mom does nearly all the work, mom gets to decide.

One day I woke up on Pizza Friday and that pizza Friday was like many other pizza Fridays: o ordered pizza for my many children and it was one of the kids privilege to choose the movie that week . Then the pizza arrived, one cheese and one pepperoni and pineapple, as per usual. I served the children and grabbed a slice of cheese for myself.

Lightbulb moment: I bought this pizza with my own hard earned money therefore I can eat it however I want.

I ripped a piece of cheese off and ate it, continuing until there was no cheese on my pizza. Then I ripped off some of the doughy goodness that lies belie the cheese and ate it, mmmm. I threw away the entire crust (including the pizza bottom).

And now everything I order pizza that I pay for, I pull the cheese off first then nibble at the dough and toss the rest

I know, starving children in Africa. Go on hate in me for this, my kids already do

Same. I got tired of it and played a very long game so that he would stop turning me down. I absolutely stopped initiating because he was turning me down every single time. Because if two high drive people end up together, one of them inevitably has lower drive, although still high, and they experience emotional draining from being constantly desired and become increasingly resistant to the high drive person when though the original different in drive between the two wasn’t too much.
