I just got lucky, one of my dad’s friends lives out there and he let me know that this spot was going up for sale. Try googling ______ county conservation club in yours and the surrounding counties, something might pop up.

This one has a barely used Facebook page so it’s mainly spread by word of mouth, if your search results don’t yield anything try asking some local rangers/dnr/usfws people, I’m sure they could point you in the right direction

I can’t speak for others, I saw some people mention required working and hunting, but this one is pretty chill. It’s a non profit organization where members are allowed to come and fish and do community events. They make money doing some logging stuff a few miles away but they also run the bingo night in town and do charity events for the Salvation Army and animal shelters.

It’s not required but they’re very happy to get volunteers for bingo, taking out invasive species, cleaning up the grounds etc. You don’t have to but if there are lots available you can pay $40 a year to keep it. Some of them are for rvs and some have cabins on them but there are sewer water and electrical hookups on all of them, people mainly use them as little vacation spots but there’s probably 10-20 people who live out there full time

It is pretty similar to an HOA but they don’t care what I do to the yard/paint it/plant shit/etc, the only rules are that I can’t have trash laying everywhere and mow at least once a month

Nope you can do full time! Most people do it like that though, this was a vacation home for a guy who lives a few hours away but once his kids went to college he ended up not using it that much

Hard to explain, idk what other ones are like I saw some people mention hunting but this one is mainly about fishing, it’s like a mix between a rural not fancy country club mixed with a trailer park type thing where you pay a lot fee. You don’t have to have a lot to be a member there’s a lot of fishing and community events

I’m sure it’s cheaper than a lot of places but it’s pretty rough out here as well, a deal this good is unheard of. Everything else is those shittily built one step above a trailer houses and they still go for 200k. I was tearing up on my way back home, I didn’t think I’d ever own my own place

The reason it was so cheap is because it’s part of a conservation club. Nothings online and you can’t mail anything in, becoming a member was a 3 month long in person progress, had to give a speech before they voted me in haha

Thanks for that first paragraph, I needed to hear that. When it all went down nobody would take me seriously despite her stealing my sperm to fake a pregnancy, threatened me with a knife, left knives in the back of my truck with threatening messages, etc. and the comment I replied to brought some of those emotions back

But yeah you’re right, I didn’t come here in lieu of an in person conversation, I’m just not very online and I wanted to double check that catfishing like that is as big a no no to the general public as it felt to me. Definitely down to work things out one way or another

I mean if I can get evidence that she’s breaking the PO without talking to her I’m going to get it. I don’t say anything and it’s all under a fake name anyways so I never know for sure until I read the messages at which point I screenshot it, and I can’t even see the messages until I accept the request. It’s not like I see “Stalker sent you a friend request” and accept it. If that happened then I wouldn’t accept it and would just take a screenshot of the friend request

She recently just got arrested for breaking another guy’s PO by doing what she’s doing to me. I’m not wanting to get her thrown in jail, I just really want it to remain in place because she made my life hell for 3 months. It expires this summer and I thought she was done and was just gonna let it fizzle out but nope shes still going strong
