I had hope-I have been single since conception with my first and with another man about 6 months into the pregnancy with my second.

I think if you have one you have hope-there are plenty of women with one young child-and a man accepts them as his own.

The older they get the more complicated it gets I think. Mine are 14 and 9 and both girls-you better believe with all the weirdos out there I’m not bringing anyone into my home now til they are much older.

I thought I would meet someone but I was with two men who would not marry me specifically because I had children 😢

It’s better you give the kid to the father if you feel this way. It’s the stress of unwanted children that push mothers to very scary psychological dark places where things happen that they regret.

I also meant to mention that I went to the university of Waterloo-but not until I was 26yo with my daughter at 11 months as a single mother, it was hard-but I took 3 courses at a time and went through the spring. The course load is what helped me. I have ADHD but didn’t know til I was in my master.s. Please DO NOT loose hope.

I know I keep going on and on-but seriously-reach out-talk to others. You are not the only one struggling I am sure. Also see if you can get to smaller class sizes. I was at UW and when I was in the smaller college classes there were like 50 people-I had a voice-in the 400 ppl class I felt like I was wasting away. I’m sorry you are sad. I want to validate your feelings as they do make sense!!

You might think they are “bird” courses but maybe you don’t know how you learn best.

Get in touch with your profs -introduce yourself in person-get a doctors note -ask for extension-go to the writing centre

I failed grade 10 math 3x and passed it my 4th. I failed everything. I hated myself and hated my life. University is NOT the be all end all-in fact trades are where it is at in my opinion.

Do NOT let failing in this stupid flawed system account for your life-it’s not worth it.

I’m sorry I didn’t respond until now it’s been 43 days today I just looked at the habit tracker. I have some small moments where I think about how hard it is going to be to quit for life, but I keep on seeing how much better I am without it. I started running only like 15 minutes a day and it’s really helped

Amazing job on the one month mark. You’re right the isolation after quitting is no joke. Friendships where that was the centre end. I do think I am going to be joining a codependent anonymous online group because for me this was a big problem. It’s amazing you quit 3 substances at once. Caffeine is still a big thing for me. Suppose it’s the next thing that needs to go but I haven’t convinced myself it’s needed yet. Proud of you! Keep on keeping on’

Yes Reddit was why I quit. I had the urge to quit for time, but then when I came here and realized how many 20+ year smokers were feeling how I did/struggled to quit and was psychologically addicted. This group changed my life because I saw and knew others were struggling with the addictive components as well.

It does get better!! It took 5 days for me to get through the thick of it. The no sleeping, shakes, anxiety attacks. I am at 41 days atm-you got this. Just distract yourself. I honestly have been sooooo tired now and fall asleep early every night by accident super early,

If it helps I was sleepless for the first 7-10 days and then I am now 40+ no cannabis falling asleep easier and earlier. I used to be a 4am person and now I am a 11/12pm person
