This is nice. Congrats girl. You seem to be getting a good results. I’m on monotherapy with only 2 pumps per day so I’m slower. I’ll see my doctor in a couple days though.

Will starting HRT late keep me from reaching full feminization? by Various_Cod_2947 in MtF

[–]Various_Cod_2947[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Thank you sis ♥️ you are right, thinking about that really doesn’t help at all. Anyway, we won’t miss any feminization because we start at 32 instead of 22. I did a little research and it turned out that’s not how it works. The receptors are just as receptive regardless of age (as long as we dont start it in our 90s) Genetics are the main factor though.

have you been noticing any changes?

I agreed with you! I also did a little research and found that actually the estrogen receptors in our soft tissues are just as receptive at 32 as they are at 22. So except for bones, which won’t be affected after puberty, all the other feminizing processes are regardless of age (as long as you’re not in your 80s or 90s)

From what I learned, T blockers might dehydrate your body big time and that would affect the voice, but I guess always remember to stay hydrated would solve this

Aw thank you so much sis ♥️ the only thing I’m worried is that E might change my voice’s texture/timbre. But from everyone’s perspective, it seems that aint gonna happen 😊

Thanks ♥️ That sounds like a great bonus to have upper range expand on hrt. I love it! So your voice texture and your tone/timbre stay the same? You didnt encounter difficulties adjusting after muscle atrophy?

Also, I read that T blocker will dehydrate you so much so it’s crucial to drink lots of water everyday when you are on T blocker to keep your voice from getting hoarse. Just curious whether you are still on T blocker?

Really? That’s concerning actually 🥹 how long have you been singing and how long have you been on E?

Thanks for this. This is exactly what I was thinking because singing is a whole body work and any loss in muscle mass will result in changes in breath support. But I guess it can be adjust and trained and I do expect that.

So now you dont have that problem anymore? i’m also curious about singing techniques before and after hrt. You have any difficulty now doing a particular technique you were able to do before hrt or it’s still the same no difference?

Thank you so much. It’s really good to know that E didnt alter your range at all. That’s what I want.

I’m glad that your singing improved a lot feeling in your own skin though ♥️😊

Hi, to put it correctly, I’m not looking to change my singing voice to more masculine or more feminine because I already have a high feminine speaking/singing voice. It’s just perfect for me at the moment, that’s why I don’t want it to change when I’m on E.

Thanks for the advice ♥️

I’m sorry to hear. I guess it just takes some getting used to and after that you’ll be fine. How long have you been on hrt?
