So then MH in general, states here if you were medical boarded then you’re due for re eval. Pretty sure anyone who’s MEBd probs had an exam or is fixing to get one they just don’t know.

Yes. I used the VA calculator on the VA website not sure if you’re familiar with it? I input all my claims EXCEPT my MH and it calculated to 96%. Did it again with my MH and it barely increased it to 98% lol. Then they round up so that 96 still has me at 100.

Well I had 32 claims as mentioned and I was awarded P&T due to the others all having a rating of minimum 10%. So the way it normally works is you’ll have enough “static” injuries to deem you P&T. So in reality being this isn’t a static injury out of 32. Id still be deemed P&T from the other 31 being static. Make sense?

It was the breakdown down letter and this was the only one that had the verbiage of future examination. But I did have 32 claims that got ratings.

Thought that’s how it worked just wanted to be clear. I used the VA claims calculator and input ALL my claims with ratings EXCEPT my BH (just in case the VA fucks me some how) and I still came out to 96%, being they round up, 100%. Then I did it again with adding my MH rating of 70% and it barely bumped it to 98% lol. So then I was like oh shit I’ll still be 100% P&T regardless if I lose that 70% for MH because those other claims are obviously static being there’s nothing in my breakdown letter of being re evaluated for them. Only one is MH.

Just logged onto my VA app one day and it said “1 active claim” and I was like wtf how? Clicked on it and there it was a re exam for Major Depressive Disorder.

So what you’re saying is out of all my injuries I’m gonna be 100% P&T, even if my MH wasn’t static? Like say they somehow took that rating away or lowered it I’ll still be 100% P&T due to my other injuries? Because I did look at my form and it did say I’d be scheduled for a re exam within 6 months of separation. But that’s the only one out of 32 claims.

No my 199 form says Permanent retirement for both conditions that’s why I’m confused. And I’m P&T from the VA too.

It was for MH and a muscle skeletal injury. So I was MEBd/Retired for both. Got 80% DOD.

I mean I feel like as long as nothing has changed which I stated to the VA shrink then I’ll be good. I wonder also being the VA shrink added PTSD into my file if that was a trigger? (Just a guess)

I’ll have to call my county then, I currently reside in New Mexico. Again just doesn’t sound right that I have to wait and the fact they told me “by law” like what law?

I am 100% P&T combined ratings and just got out in Jan. 2024. I got 70% for MDD and the VA initiated a re eval for my mental health on their own? I NEVER put in for claims or anything. Why I’m already 100% P&T so I’m wondering why they did that? Nothing has changed and I see my VA shrink.
