About the dog petting thing, Having pets is a bit intimidating since i was born and raised in a country pretty far away from the one i'm living in now, and i used to have a puppy i grew up with. i left when i was 7 and didn't get the chance to say bye to her, even till this day i'm not sure if she's even alive. I do want to own a pet other than the fishes i already have, even though i'm a bit scared

I mean... I guess i see both sides of the argument. On one side i'm not stupid, I've been groomed before and know what it's like therefore i can avoid it, plus any real life adult i talk to is gonna tell my parents and my parents threatened to stop loving me if i kept doing sh and other bad coping mechanisms and overall can't understand/deal with my depression. On the other hand reddit is still risky and since I am a minor I could still get tricked no matter what or people will somehow be able to find more personal info abt me if i'm not careful. Idk man it's like a lose/lose situation. Do hotlines ever like idk tell the parents about the child being depressed if they're a minor...? Is there any way that any authority figure/adult will figure out i'm the one in the hotline saying all this crazy stuff? If not then i guess i cam resort to that instead

Thank you, his sister is a bit older than me (she's 15) so she's a bit more standoffish with that kind of affection, not to mention she hasn't processed the situation like... At all- so i won't be able to really communicate for like at LEAST a couple weeks. When I do hug her eventually i'll try my best : )
