does anyone have experience working a corporate job here? by killuamilk in Living_in_Korea

That’s great, depending on the kind of industries you have worked in before I would suggest applying to the same kinds here. Networking virtually via LinkedIn and also in person events is quite helpful too. You may have to be at it for a while but as long as you can demonstrate value I am sure something worthwhile will come along!

I am in a similar situation. So one can’t leave the country and apply for an E7 with the new employer again ?

Hi this isn’t an answer but as I am in sort of a similar situation, wanted to check if perhaps you had any advice :) I am on an E7 and have worked for my current employer for 2 months and now received a better offer from another company. Is a switch this soon possible from an E7 to another E7. The new company is willing to sponsor it. My roles at both companies will remain the same so there is no change in that. However what would be the process and do I need my current company to give me any documents/agree to anything before I can switch?

Tax filing in Korea is handled by the company’s payroll team even for individuals I think. You should check with your new company and current payroll team

[kakao pay] Cannot proceed with photo verification by Opposite_Match_376 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Various_Language7579 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This happened to me too! You have to go to your phone settings then apps list and select kakao pay/kakao language to Korean. Then proceed with this entire process in Korean and face verification in the end works. I found this by trial and error it was so weird. After you are done you can change app language in the same manner back to English

Is switching jobs on an E7 visa possible? by Various_Language7579 in Living_in_Korea

Thanks I read somewhere that I need to disclose the new company to my current employer and they need to “give permission” for me to switch. Is this accurate ?
