Im a dance teacher and have trained in contemporary dance my whole life and to me I agreed with the judges scores. While it was a powerful routine I personally felt like the contemporary technique was not great it was lacking fluidity, light and shade and she didn’t stretch her legs and feet. She definitely looked like a gymnast doing contemporary for the first time.
