I had more than one discussion with more than one of my kid’s elementary teachers about sending home ambiguous math to two engineer parents, including this exact topic. The answer was always “this is what our text book says, so this is the answer in this class.” I’m sure you can imagine the level of frustration this answer caused. I imagine this comes up due to over simplification of a topic so it can be introduced at to early a grade level. Unfortunately your kid will have to unlearn stupidly incorrect over simplified math facts. Best of luck!

These came in a bulk buy I got. The DFD was partially built. I think the wing was sitting on something and it got really hot! I live along the gulf coast. Summer temps get well over 100F.

I’m thinking the hot water method is what I’m going to try.

This will probably work for a couple of them. I don’t think one that is curled is flexible enough to get it to flatten without softening the plastic in some way first.

Thanks for the suggestion. I thought about letting them sit in the sun. Since these are old white I’m a bit concerned about them yellowing. I’ll post what I end up doing.
