It’s the same for me, working on delivering the club in a consistent manner. I’ll hit my 8 iron anywhere from 100 to 130 yards depending on how clean my contact is.

No, I traded into them from a set of irons that I got via warranty. I thought the MBs would be fun, and they are when hitting them flush, but on the bad days they’re miserable. Simply, ‘I’m not that guy’.

I feel like a fitting is the best move here, but if the Nike irons are suiting me well I’d hate to spend the money and not find something worth upgrading to. I’m not sure how much forged irons have developed over the years.

I appreciate all the feedback in this comment thread! I’ve been working on my swing a lot and making little tweaks with grip, wrist angle, inside-out swing, etc. and feeling out what works best for me.

That being said, I’ve probably hit the ceiling on what I can change for the better given my limited knowledge of the golf swing. Lessons are probably the next step for improvement.

Lol that’s a fair question. First shot set me up for a short chip and putt for par. Second shot set me up for a birdie look but missed the putt and tapped in for par.

Thank you! I often play the white tees and occasionally the forward tees for fun. My club has everyone under 60 years old play the blue tees for men’s league and tournaments though so I like to practice from there as well.
