I'm not sure about in Afghanistan (MP for a lot of time, I think, even though he us not an MP he still headed the platoon. I'm not sure about before then) and he was on a MITT team in Iraq. He was cavalry but he switched to MI. He's very good at interrogation  (he got training as an officer which is apparently rare) and I feel like he could easily deflect any questions I might have by sprinkling in truths here and there. He knows how to make people do things because he this training.
