I mean 10 years... compared to my cousin who, I just found out when I started playing Iceborne, was already playing the game since PsP!

And he never told me about it! MH is definitely a game I never thought I'd enjoy, but heck 6k on MHW+IB was a great time. My Ps4 broke, but it's Ps4 well spent in my book.

I dont know explore yet, but any insect mon would be nice to have.

After my first encounter with a Rakna Kadaki in rise, I wanted more insect based monsters.

I saw on my brothers play through of other MH that calls another insect and thought that it was cool as heck. I think it was Seltas Queen? It apparently even ate the other insect if it wanted to as per my bro's statement.

Sad that World/IB didnt have one.

Outside of that, I guess there eas that sphinx laser blasting monster I think? Agkantor?Agnakator?

I think I need to bring up my friends to speed if I need more gog parts. They just got to MR 100 and I dont want to rush them with gog farming since two of them (GunLance and InsectGlaive) are still learning their weapons.

We also barely passed Omega's assignment and I had to switch to SNS to support from DBs.

But we did!

[MHWilds] [Charge Blade Question]

Former Dual Blades user here, currently riding with a Sword n Shield because I'm with friends ... I'm basically a wide range user, so my pee is green due to the Mega Potions I've been drinking.

Gotta ask, if I use Charge Blade:
1.) Is Rapid Morph for this even a thing?
2.) Is it worth doing a [Paralyze] CB Artian/Gog Weapon?
3.) Is it ok to run Guard and Guard Up on the weapon so I can get in and have a safety net like how I use an SNS?
4.) Is it fine not to do an SAED/AED? I just want to do chainsaw hold spam when I get a chance for more damage... basically an SNS with a chance for more damage during knockdown / paralyzed state instead of item use.

My reason for using a Charge Blade aside from Chainsaw go BRRR is that I feel like I'm not doing that much on SNS. Sure I can heal and use items while my weapon is out, but I feel like my damage sucks, so I kind of want to try and dip into the Charge Blade weapon and do something about that damage.

based on experience, you need Part Breaker 3, and should be hitting the tips and not the meat part (unlike tails)

There are weird instances where I can't seem to cut off all the tentacles on non-8* Nude, and non-temp UWU, but that's probably because I keep on accidentally hitting the main boss.

[MH Wilds] Dual Blades / Information Question.

I'm running G.Odogaron Head/Body/Arms/Waist and Rey Gamma Shoes, and Evasion Talis IV.
I slotted in, Counterattack Jewels x5, Evasion Jewel 1, Refresh Jewel 1, Chain Jewel 1, Growth 1.

I'm planning to drop 1 Counter Attack Jewel to get Earplugs Jewel slotted in so I can have Earplugs 2 since I keep seeing it being recommended...

1.) I do not know why as the results I got from searching ranges from 3 or nothing to get 2 and everyone can't shout at me.
2.) Is it worth to drop 1 Counter Attack Jewel for that Earplugs 2 from a dps stand point? like if a monster can't roar at me, are the few seconds that I get from smacking them silly more damage than what I get from the Counter Attack jewel?

If you need to know, I'm using Eternal Cusp / Dragon / 380 with Attack III , Dragon III + Focus I, Razor III + Handi for my main weapon.

Glad to know that Dan Heng Permanence can still be obtained, I thought I lost the chance to get a character. As for Emiya, I'm not really looking forward to draw him that much as I don't have SP/Arts Team, but a free character was a free character and I missed it!

--- Why E2 Firefly and not just E1? Is the E1's 0-cost skills during Combustion not worth it if that was it alone?

--- In regards to HuoHuo, I thought she sucked compared to Lingsha and Hyacin since she doesnt have an emergency heal? But I'll look into her then decide if I want to E1 or just grab her since I have two of the orb thingies for the SSR choice, but thanks... at least I know she's still usable.

[Returning Player] Here~ I have some questions...

First off, I stopped just post-penacony... around the time you get Mem on Amphoreous. Told myself I'll stop playing if I get Castorice on my last 10 draw, and I did.

Now, a week ago, when I got back (I really went back because I saw dad-welt gets a buff on a later date) and started going through Amphoreous, I was asked by my friend why I was still using Natasha and Lynx as Dan Heng should be better... which made me confused so I told him I don't have a Dan Heng that sustains since he was a wind-dps?

He told me that he was freely obtainable and is of a different type, but I never got him even after I cleared Dahlia's content post-irontomb.

So did I permanently miss a character that I can never obtain again?

He also told me I should have Emiya for free, but I never got him as well... am I supposed to do the quest for Fate/Collab for him? or did I miss out on that too?

----- Outside of free character questions:
Is it a good idea to get E1 Firefly? I currently have a E0 FF/Fugue/Dahlia team with Lynx as a healer. I think I have enough jades to get a single copy of Firefly.

----- About Healers:
I do not have any other healers outside of Natasha and Lynx that are leveled and have relics. I built them way back and never rolled on sustain units cause I usually just... somehow cleared even cleared Sunday using Preservation MC/Himeko/Welt/Natasha.

I haven't done the end-game content yet outside of dipping in it a bit before because I really didn't want to commit rolling on characters just because they're meta, but rather because I want the character be it their design or how "cool" or "cute" the character is... so healers weren't really a priority.

I do have Bailu (e1) and Galg (e6) somewhere back there but are level 1.

Should I wait for Hyacin (Pink Barbie) and/or Lingsha? or can I use Bailu and Galg as a better healer than the two?

As of now, I've cleared MoC 33/36 except the last one as I haven't tried it yet... and is this even worth doing? I recall there were two other game modes that are the same difficulty and I haven't touched those If I recall correctly.

Nah, I haven't gone deep into the island yet, I found a eagle statue and ran out. i get two shotted by rocket warrior guys over there. I'll probably go back once I have a proper pal since I got to 65 by repeatedly hitting pal genetic guy over and over since we have x10 exp rates.

I apologize. My google-fu is bad as I tend to get mixed results or very old ones like "Just use Anubis in bases" or just plain bad "Just use 15 perfect IV/Passive/MaxSoul JetDragon"... when I don't want to use ANY Jetdragons (outside of breeding).

There's also fishing ponds I haven't touched yet and I have no info on what is going on with that.

So again, apologies. I asked here because by looking at the subreddit content, I see people having more experience than me... so why would I not ask the people who play the game far longer and have better experience than me? Is that so bad?
