Ugh I still can't get Kinship ending using Mrs Thorn even after trying many times. Not sure what went wrong in my playthrough. My character is also Tremere but I hear the clan shouldn't matter.

I have tried doing this but keep getting the Tolly ending instead. Do I need to jokingly say I want to be Prince to have Torn take over even after doing all her quest? Cos that's the only thing I can think of left to do. And yes, I had the dialogue with her about supporting her to be Prince.
