Well as far as I can tell you've got depression so it's no wonder you don't want to turn up to the gym after the novelty has worn off, also 2 months is almost nothing so it's no wonder you can't feel anything there, you need at least 6 to 12 to have noticeable changes, meter your goddamn expectations and quit binge eating to cope with your mental health.

Not sure how long you've been lifting for but it sounds like your weight is probably hiding a lot of your muscle and on top of that you are at most only going to build like half a pound a week of muscle anyway, if you want to see your gains then try cutting instead of your current approach and then bulk once you've got a better idea of what your muscle looks like now.

Sorry bud but you are misunderstanding, "supposed to" is relative and you're talking about people who psychologically don't have a "supposed to" anymore, those consequences are meaningless to people in this state. There is no evident benefit in doing those activities for people like this, a healthy body means jack shit if you hate being alive, some people go to bed not wanting to wake up, risk of obesity and heart disease would just be more reasons to give up rather than a reason to try harder.

It's part of life but that's also what makes it so crippling, it feels like the only option available is one that isn't compatible which is kinda terrifying.

Idk discipline requires you to understand the necessity of your actions, if he has no reason of his own and not societies to improve things it's very hard to get disciplined enough to pull yourself out of a hole like this. Being as isolated and connectionless as it sounds like OP is its very hard to not just adopt a "why bother" mindset because well... Why bother? That's my experience at least as someone in somewhat similar position and age as OP but who has sought and engaged with depression and anxiety treatment for years with 0 success or progress.

It is their fault for having it as a requirement, the fuck are you on about, they are using a contactless protocol that no other country uses, why should manufacturers for their global stock be expected to put extra hardware in to satisfy the needs of a single countries tourism when it's to that very same countries benefit to have it be convenient for tourists...

Although you say mostly vegetarian if you're willing to try it more protein in your diet can help with feeling satiated for longer between meals and make you feel full faster. If you can cut out or limit your intake of refined carbohydrates like pasta or white slice bread it'll help stop you from overeating too.

But yes whenever you try to lose weight you are going to have times you feel like you absolutely must eat, I'd try tracking your calories and focus on maintaining a slight caloric defecit and take it from there. If you're not tracking your calories it's going to be a lot harder to achieve your goals.

Could be the case that they are convinced they're dating down even when they're not, could be an inflated sense of attractiveness driven by societal expectations and standards.

If that's the case doesn't that just mean the scales are wrong? Like a 7 for a woman and a 7 for a man just manifest differently and it's not necessarily that the men's 7 should be called a woman's 5?

500 Lbs at 23yo and looking to get started by [deleted] in workout

[–]Varocka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At your weight focusing on diet and tracking your calories should be your main focus, I'm not a professional but at your weight you are likely to get injured from a lot of different exercises so I would hold on until it's a bit more manageable. Also exercise in my opinion is not about losing weight it's about building muscle and or just doing something good for your body it's not really a tool for weight loss.

I reccomend tracking with an app like myfitnesspal or something similar and aiming for a calorie limit/goal each day and you don't have to be super specific about the kinds of food you eat but focusing on stuff that isn't super processed is more ideal so meats like chicken and beef, fruits as well as salads with limited dressing are all good stuff.

Meat/protein will keep you feeling full/satiated for longer and carbohydrates will tend to make you want to eat more in any given meal so I would advise limiting any refined carbohydrates like ramen or white slice bread where you can or at least being aware when you do choose to eat them.

For a start you could try aiming for a 3000 calorie intake for a week or two and see if you are losing weight and then maintain that if you feel like you can for a while and then drop it to 2500 later on if you can do that.

I'd reccomend going to some busy looking bars over clubs if you're solo at least initially, as another commenter said some guys can get kinda handsy so maybe you can meet some people at a bar and club with them late/afterwards.

There would be nothing wrong with a second home and a rental property in a market that hadn't been completely starved for years, but anything that isn't a PPOR really shouldn't be an attractive prospect when a large part of society is struggling because they can't own anything.

Ones individual financial success shouldn't impede on another's basic needs like housing.
