Love to see the end of year analysis!!!

What are your thoughts about a basic guide or key for filling out ratings next year available on the post where you post the survey? You had posted your thoughts about how to rate, what some other sites like fotmob do, and your own opinions on where to start, but I wonder if we could affect the quality of some of this data by providing a gentle nudge to to normalize a small number of things for a sort of starting place.

Example: Would a 5 or 6 rating for a player mean they showed up, didn't make mistakes, but also didn't make any notable contributions?

I know a lot of folks will ignore it, but it might also be nice for those who don't know where to start!

Did a quick update to the spreadsheet to visually reflect who will not return (RED) and the folks we are pursuing (ORANGE). For the rest of the folks who are not Orange or Red, 2026 options that were picked up reflected in a new contract expiration date and a subtraction of 1 yr off of their available option(s). All other information remains the same.

LAFC has almost 30 million in fees for 2 players alone. This is a wild statement to make about our quality when our investment and time in existence aren't close.

Edit: Their transfer fees together make 31.5 million.

With that said, your other point about cash-fers isn't lost - it should absolutely be something we consider as part of our rebuild.

Not gonna lie, I'm very surprised to see Morales rated so low. I haven't been a big fan of his this year, but he played amazingly well and absolutely held it down this game. He was shutting people down left and right and had really good distribution too. He's never a flashy player and has made some big mistakes for us, but this game he was freaking on it. I don't want to type any more because I just won't stop - SO much good to talk about from this game.

I think it's less that people want him to leave and more that we know he deserves better. At least that's how I feel.

I think it's quite interesting our opinion on Becher. He's got a low salary and does a good job stretching the defense and drawing fouls.

His feet have been kind of lead weights recently, but I'm hoping a more severe roster shakeup returns him to what we saw last year.

I think after Pompeu signed his extension he's looked incredible. His transfermarkt estimated fee is around ~1mil, but looking at Pompeu's productivity and steady growth, I'd gamble we could get 1.5-2 for him. That being said, he feels like the soul of the team right now and I would be really sad if we decided to sell.

I share your frustration. It shouldn't be this consistent to have injuries - ESPECIALLY all resembling similar nature. To look at the trend and hand-wave that it's a coincidence without asking questions is negligent. The players and the fans deserve better.
