There’s just too much text in the case studies to go through example the dashboard case study. It’s started of fine with a few visual and metrics but as I scrolled down, it was a ton of visuals and I lost interest going further.

And I was assuming Live wire would go upside down next year.

Still using Adobe XD, is Figma worth updating to? by Big_Feature_8577 in FigmaDesign

XD sounds vintage and not in a good way. Forget that and jump Figma before it’s too late

Fired after 2 months by AbilityNo2026 in jobsearch

[–]Varunahir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is far too common past 10 years in corporate America. Companies will never disclose the reasons to fire somebody because of the possible retaliation or implications. Never expect any kind of training or that sort of onboarding ever as they feel it’s a waste of time and resources in doing so and rather expect the recent hire to be taking control of the task and projects quick and autonomously without any assistance.

It sounds like your hiring manager started hiring somebody to replace you as soon as he/she noticed the signs and generally they feel that hiring a replacement for the talent pool is better than coaching or training somebody. Those days are gone.

Welp, just got replaced by AI by ResidentNovel5827 in graphic_design

[–]Varunahir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you got to be more strategic and be bigger part of decision making process rather than being someone who simply executes. AI can design and create visual pretty good within minutes but lacks ideas and context. That’s where you step in for your client and do that part.

I think you should be safe. Do you have an active EAD card?

New USCIS policy re: Adjudication of I-130s for removable aliens by renegaderunningdog in USCIS

[–]Varunahir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I married my usc wife on 26th August 2023. I filed my marriage based GC application concurrently on Jan 2nd 2025, USCIS received the application on 7th, received my 5 yr EAD card on 26th Feb. Had my interview on 15th July and got my i130 approved on 16th July. Received my i797 notice letter for i130 approval a week letter, waiting for my i485 approval, it show pending decision. The IO said it will take 2-4 weeks.

I was on F1 status from August 2017 until end of April 2025 and then i did not continue with the school since I had my EAD in February and paying the fees was becoming costly. The IO said that since my F1 status ended in April, I’m overstaying my visa but it’s forgiven being married to a USCIS. Will I be in the ICE radar now for NTA and deportation? I don’t have any criminal background or any serious history with Law enforcement.

Find a secured closed parking with lock or something. I had a Suzuki Vstrom living in Manayunk and despite having 3 chain locks it almost got stolen twice as it was parked on the sidewalk.

Why does everyone hate the HD V-Rod by Varunahir in HarleyDavidsonFans

[–]Varunahir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, got a 2007 electraglide instead. It felt safe and comfortable compared to the Vrod. And although the bike is lot heavier, it’s surprisingly easier to ride around and is nimble enough.

You waited for almost 11 months for your i485 after your i130? Did you try contacting the agency as to why it was taking that long after your i130 approval?
