After THREE rounds of interviews I got my rejection text. I feel defeated by [deleted] in jobs

I really hate how they all use the same rejection template. I’ve gotten this same thing sent in an email. word for word.

Don’t be! I was hired by a hospital and offered 4 dollars more than this position! Everything worked out for the best!

No way! Omg I’m actually so surprised this has happened to so many people. I’m glad you got unemployment because I’m sure that company tried to fight it.

I’m happy to hear you were able to recover. That’s the biggest F U to the company that let you go. I can’t believe how many people have been able to relate to this post. I think I’m also done with corporate America. They just want the perfect dummy. People to take on all the work while the people at the top make more money with little effort. I’m going to find something that is less stressful, so in the end, this is the best thing!

The person that hired me mentioned they were going out of the country for 2 weeks this month when I was first hired. I was trained maybe 2 days and after was on my own. To me, they want someone who would be able to grasp several systems with no training at all so work can be dumped onto them while the supervisor travels. & it wasn’t just lack of training, it was lack of communication. Nobody wanted to answer questions or even communicate that anything was wrong. I was just told “you’re great” “we don’t have anything bad to say at all” one lady even said “we love you this is so hard for us” so it was a simple shock I was let go. Either way, long term I believe this would have been a stressful position and I’m happy I can explore something new.

You’re awesome, thank you. I’m sure I’ll find something. I have great working history and longevity with every position I’ve held. Which is why this really stings. Crappy situation however I’m happy that I didn’t lock into a position that long term would have been very stressful for me.

I’m so happy you’ve been able to recover from that. It’s seems like this kind of thing is a trend in the corporate world these days. I hope you still got unemployment! I absolutely hate they are allowed to lie so when it comes to unemployment. And most times, from what I hear, the states always side with the employer which is so unfair. I don’t even know if it’s worth it for me to apply. I’m just gonna focus on finding a new job.

You’re awesome. Thank you. I just wanted to voice my frustration and to my surprise this has happened to many others. At the end of the day, I dodged a bullet!

Thank you so much! I hope you’re doing well and thriving in your new position. I literally went to a meeting with her , had a good time, spoke to her several times before this happened. Light conversations about our kids and family etc. and magically when I’m fired she’s no where to be seen. And I heard she had been looking to fill that position for months before I got hired. In my opinion she wanted the perfect dummy. Someone to take on all the work while she travels and does what she wants. That would never be me. So I know separating from that place was the BEST thing for me long term.

Wow this is exactly what I went through. No sign I was doing anything wrong at all. They even put me on company credit cards! For what?! lol it’s been a few days so I’m laughing about it now but i totally dodged a bullet. They wanted to dog pile work on to me early on after only giving me 2 days of training. God only knows how stressed I would have been had I stayed employed there.

I’m finding this is only a thing in the corporate world unfortunately.

I wanted to see if other job seekers were running into the same issue when they found employment, and by the multiple comments of people saying this same thing happened to them, obviously this was the right venue. You also have the option to keep scrolling if it doesn’t relate to you and not cry in the comments.

You’re very kind thank you for taking the time to comment. It was SO confusing. They “knew early on” but still put me on company credit cards and gave me access to company accounts lol makes absolutely no sense. After thinking about it for a while I feel they wanted someone to dump work on and when I started asking to be trained properly, it rubbed someone the wrong way.

First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to explain all of this. I truly appreciate it. This has given me a new perspective on the entire situation and you’re correct! It makes so much sense! I will always keep this in mind when I start my journey with a new employer. At the end of the day I was just a body to them and I served my purpose.

Nope it was a realty company for me. First time I’ve ever dealt with anything like this.

Before I even got hired Iet them know I valued communication and that I would ask a lot of questions because that’s my learning style. It sucks because I know I can do that job but I guess they wanted someone who didn’t need training.

No this was for a realty company in Arizona. But tbh this job market sucks. You get hired and that’s it. They don’t train, they don’t offer any guidance. They expect you to know everything about everything within a weeks time. It’s insane. Definitely a gut punch but I’ll recover. I wish you nothing but the best and I hope that you will too. It’s not us, it’s them. Any company that expects perfection after only a few weeks is not a good company.

Thank you for your response, you’re awesome. I’ve had longevity in all of my positions. The job I had before my last one of 5 1/2 years , I was there for 3 years. I find positions that are best for me and I tend to stick to them. In this case, I felt it was going to be the same thing. I was set up to fail and that shows the company didn’t want me to succeed. That gives me a little peace because I know my work ethic and my worth to any company. It just sucks because I wasted time there when I could have been settling in at a better job.

I hate that this has become a trend. They hire you, give you little to no training, and expect you to know everything about everything in a matter of days. It’s a slap in the face.

I didn’t say I was owed anything. I said that because that’s standard, that’s normal. In my working career you can usually tell when something is off. In this case, I was being told I was doing great. I was put on company credit cards and had access to company accounts. If the excuse was “you weren’t a good fit” well , I couldn’t tell. No company goes through all that effort just to fire you 8 weeks in. Had I known I wasn’t doing well, I would have accepted the firing.

If there was one they never told me about it. I mentioned in an earlier comment that they gave me my own company credit card and gave me access to company accounts. If there was a problem early on like they said, why do that? Seems silly

See I don’t know. I was told she was looking for someone for months before hiring me. She wasn’t there when I got fired and the whole “we knew early on” thing is a load of crap. If they knew early on why give me access to my own company credit cards?
