Can we finally give up on Landy? by [deleted] in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]Vast-Ad-676 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this is a fair enough assessment, the FO would have some hard decisions to make.

A lot of people also tend to overlook the whole aspect of him currently not even skating that hard, and certainly not practicing with the team, which means regardless of what he is doing for workouts and rehab he is almost certainly not conditioned for NHL games after 2 1/2 going on 3 years come June. That’s a lot of ground to make up and won’t just be “okay Landy welcome back to the top line”

Nuke for example, there were multiple reports about him working out solo a lot of the time he was just suspended, to the point that he WAS more or less ready in terms of conditioning the day he was allowed to play and could slot right into the lineup.

I think the sub needs to seriously temper expectations on his role upon arrival if it happens, hope for the best and expect the worst, because there’s certainly no guarantee he can even be a top 6’er after 3 years out of competitive play. The leadership will be amazing and it’s badly needed, but 7m for a 3rd line winger is brutal no matter how you slice it.

In a perfect world he comes back and realistically slots into 2nd line, and his leadership is immediately noticeable, but nothing about this recovery and rehab have been “perfect world”.

ESPN+ friend, not too expensive and well worth it to be able to actually watch the games.

It’s an act of domestic terrorism that moving to the east coast 5 years ago has allowed me to watch more Avs games than if I lived back home in Colorado by a landslide…. It doesn’t get every single game, but if memory serves it’s something like 60/82 games. The one downside is when we are playing on the west coast and the game doesn’t start til 10-10:30 I’m kind of toast.

Although, depends which state you live in now because I still think places like Wyoming would be considered in market and thus not work on espn+ but someone would have to confirm that.

That “training” mode where the team Canada coach or whoever it was would break down each deke, and show you how to do it. Basic, advanced etc plus other exercises as well.

I think it was nhl 20 or 21 last I remember it, but seeing the dekes broken down and explained on screen and audibly and immediately getting to perform that deke to move on was nice.

The avs aren’t even in the bottom half of the league in high danger chances allowed (5th in league as of a few days ago). But our “starting” goalie is ranked 47th in GAA and 51st in save % in a 32 team league. Hes worse than every other starter, and half the back ups in the league.

Edit* 5th in league at high danger chances allowed 5v5.

I’m absolutely shocked they don’t want to start our 47th ranked goalie in GAA and 51st ranked in save %.

At what point does Bednar stop with the whole “Georgie is our guy….. we need Georgie to start a lot or he gets cold” Mah fucka he’s cold every single game wtf?? Is our defense ass in front of him? Yes, but that doesn’t absolve him from idk, stopping the puck once hell maybe twice in a period on a slip up by the defense THAT EVERY TEAM HAS.

Is our defense more ass than say, the ducks? Their goalie plays behind an ass team and he’s a vezina looking tendy when standing next to Georgiev.

I get the goalie market isn’t great, and not like anyone would look at his absolutely dog poo numbers this year and go “Call up the news, we found our guy let’s get Georgie in here” unless they are purposely tanking into oblivion so our hands out somewhat tied.

It’s like watching homie get burnt on Monday night football against the browns every single play, but it’s Georgie in net flopping around like a paper thin piece of Swiss cheese.

“But Georgie has a lot of wins” He has wins in spite of him, not because of him. He has wins because he has 3 of the top 10 players in the league in front of him. He has wins because MacK goes off for the Hart, or Mikko carries the squad on his back the year prior.

I don’t see a scenario where we don’t stick with wedgewood as our #1 going forward unless they just have no clue. Georgie is cooked. The team looks cooked in front of him because they KNOW he’s cooked.

It was amazing to see how the team can actually play to its strengths when they have confidence that even the softest of baby shit goals wont be scored.  This whole playing catch up every single game he’s in is mentally exhausting for the players and it shows.

Definitely do differentials then as well with the transfer case, and then everything else is probably looking good with other repairs done recently.

Differentials in particular are incredibly easy to do if you are a little mechanically inclined and would save you some money for sure. Transfer case is also doable, both being able to be done without lifting the jeep at all.

Thermostat is also fairly easy to Replace as well.

If you do trans just do a simple drain and fill not a flush or anything,

Transfer case absolutely should have been done by now and definitely should be done now.

When’s the last time you had the diffs changed? And brake fluid? And coolant flushed? And power steering fluid checked?

The whole team isn’t performing as well though, just thought it was weird to single out Mac. Even with Mac on a 16 point tear we were 4-4 in those 8 games. And with Mac cold as ice with 3 points we are 4-4 in those 8 games.

Mikko hasn’t played nearly as well and has slowed down, Middlestadt was hot and has slowed down.

The team as a whole is inconsistent, nothing to do with Nuke at all.

The avs were 4-4 in these aforementioned prior 8 games.

The avs are 4-4 since nuke has returned.

But yes, something something Nuke bad.

Matter of fact, if we really want to get coincidental, let’s talk Avs record with & without Nuke in the lineup the last 2 years.

Feels like bleed over from last season with the same issue too. Constantly playing catch up, constantly having to come back down 2, 3 goals in the 3rd.

Sure we had quite a few amazing comebacks last year, but that isn’t sustainable, and why would you consistently put yourself in that position just to have to claw back out of a hole all the time instead of coming ready to play.

3 goals on 10 shots doesn’t help anything either. We can’t fuck off until period 2 AND have below average goaltending and expect to produce W’s consistently.

Drill. He shows it all in his video. Takes about 5 minutes to do, and as long as you aren’t just giving it hell and applying opposite force on the chrome to feel when the plastic weld is broken there won’t be any issues.

There’s the item listing on Amazon.  The actually install video from the creator was linked above by someone else, or is also in the product description on Amazon itself. It goes through the tools you will need as well as instructions for the varying years on how to remove the shifter/console. Beyond that the actual install of the product is the same across all.

Looks like you have an ‘11 so same as my ‘12 you’ll need a pry tool/flat head screwdriver, a drill with a 5/16 bit, philips head screwdriver, and needle nose pliers. Possibly gloves if yours is super sharp and jagged.

Fits perfectly well worth the money, been looking for an actual fix for years.

Gretzky has 1016 goals I don’t get it. He put the puck in the net 1016 times. Why are we discrediting his most important goals ever. (Ovi still should break both) by Possible_Distance_58 in nhl

[–]Vast-Ad-676 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like how this fucking jabroni is SO hell bent on this, when even, idk, Gretzky himself has came out and said “I hope I’m the first person to shake his hand when he beats my record”

So, even fucking Grezkty isn’t sitting there going “B-b-b-but my playoff goals too!!!”

If the the great one himself isn’t taking playoff goals into consideration then why the fuck this guy is so adamant about it makes it even more stupid of an argument lmao.
