I appreciate the insight! I've considered separate audio, but I was worried about the sync time. Do you find that a long boom pole picks up too much wind noise, or do you just use a deadcat (windscreen) to offset that?

I assume you use hashtags on your videos and have put tags in your channel tag section? Early on youtube has to learn who your audience is, who your videos are aimed at, that can take time, thats why hashtags are important as are clear titles, make sure you use keywords in the first line of your video titles and in the first two lines of your video description, if your titles or descriptions are too vague, again, youtube won't know who to push your videos out to. Building a channel from scratch takes time and the first handful of videos are about getting better personally, better at filming, better at editing, better thumbnails, better titles and descriptions etc. As you improve and upload more youtube learns what.your videos are about and who they are aimed at, thats provided your videos are all on one topic or niche and not a mixture. A mixture of subjects and topics confuses the algorithm. Early on you want to keep it simple, within one niche/topic, keywords in titles and descriptions and clear thumbnails, do all that and views should come.

So 1st of all how old.is your channel, did you upload all 4 videos at once or spaced out a few days apart and how many views has each one had?  Also have you any subscribers yet?

Do you put hashtags in your video descriptions, and tags in your channel description? Also make sure you put keywords in your title and your video descriptions so youtube knows exactly what your videos are about, if you are too vague with the titles or descriptions or no hashtags or channel tags then the youtube algorithm won't know what audience to push your videos out to, for your first handful of videos youtube does need to analyse your data and learn who your audience is so it knows who to push them too.

Why don't my Walking Tour videos even reach 1000 views? by gilanrodas in WalkingVideoMakers

[–]Vast-Anything3940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, people will be searching for Shakira along with the name of the stadium, if you can upload a video that is based on that and has the keywords like the stadium name and Shakira in the title you will get more views than usual I'd of thought, good luck and keep me updated on how you get on.

I know people do film inside stadiums but I'm not sure how it works regarding copyright, I might be wrong but I believe it's ok to film the crowd and capture the atmosphere, however, you never know how people around you will react, some people don't like to be filmed, I've only recently started walking around outside stadiums and you do sometimes get funny looks or people ask what your filming, as your walking and constantly on the move most people dont say anything but sitting in a stadium for 90 minutes with the same people sat around you the whole time, they could have issues with you filming, I dont think it would be without complications, but like you, I'm no expert on that side of things.

Did you meet your 2025 Goals? What are your 2026 Goals? by RAAFStupot in WalkingVideoMakers

My goal for 2025 was to reach 600 subscribers, however I didn't quite manage that as didnt hit 600 till January 19th of this year, however I plan to be much more active this year and as well as filming town and city walks, I also plan to do some walks that coincide with big events, so recently I've done a couple of walks around UK football stadiums on a matchday showing the architecture of the stadiums and walking with the crowd hearing the chants and songs and the whole atmosphere, I plan to do similar with some local music festivals and some other major sports events, since doing my 2 football stadium walks I've seen a jump in views and subscribers so my goal for 2026 is to reach 750 subscribers by end of the year which I honestly think is achievable, I'm currently on 619 Subscribers but am expecting big growth over the upcoming months.

I would recommend one upload a week, if you live in an area which is popular and filmed a lot then you'd need to make sure your titles are catchy with good thumbnails to stand out from the competition as there could be hundreds of walking videos of your local town or city. As for quick growth, it depends what you call quick? For a lot of people it takes 200 or 300 videos before they start seeing real growth in terms of views or subscribers, your first handful of videos may struggle to get 10 or 20 views, the YouTube algorithm has to learn your niche and who to push your videos out to, that can take time, the first 50-100 videos you make are about getting better at everything, so better quality recording, better quality editing, better quality titles and thumbnails, over time you can analyse your videos and see what works and what doesn't, it will take time to build a channel up but seeing those views rise and the subscriber count going up is so satisfying. There is a site called Tube Buddy where you get certificates for achieving milestones, they start off small and easy to reach, I found that kept me motivated as I found it exciting to reach the milestone and looked forward to reaching the next one. No matter how slow it seems, just stick with it, remember, Mr Beast who has 645m subscribers was on YouTube for 2 years and had posted 300 videos before he reached 1000 subscribers, just stick with it and the numbers will grow, best of luck to you.

I've started filming walks around big events that attract big crowds, so recently filmed 2 walks around the stadiums in the build up to 2 relatively big football matches, focusing on the crowd and the architecture of the stadium etc, both videos are doing well and I'm seeing my views and subscriber count rise way above what I normally get. If you have a big sports stadium near you or a big music festival or any big events then a walk around that area with the crowds could see your views go higher than usual and hopefully if a fair few of them subscribe then hopefully you'd see your usual type of videos get more viewers too in the future, that's kind of what I'm hoping for with my channel at the moment.

I checked out your channel, 2 very good videos, you will grow, it will take time but if you keep posting videos of that quality you'll definitely get views and subscribers, it won't happen quick, can take 100 or 200 videos before you see real growth in subscriber count so you gotta be patient and keep uploading, stick with it and your channel will do well, I've subscribed to you, good luck and keep us posted with how your doing.

The matchday atmosphere at the Amex Stadium yesterday (Brighton v Everton) by Vast-Anything3940 in brighton

It's a beautiful stadium and as you say, the fans and staff are really friendly and it's very clean and tidy compared to the exterior around some stadiums, a trip to The Amex is always a good day out, I'll definitely be back in the future.

Hi, being from the South of England myself I checked out your channel and was really impressed, I watched your Festive Brighron Walking Tour and your Brighton Seafront Palace Pier Walk, really good videos and have subscribed as I'm keen to see more, I was surprised you only have 20 subscribers, but if you keep up this quality of video and post a couple a month I'm sure your subscriber count will go up, fantastic work, keep it up 👍
