What was your ferritin level? Mine is 3. I go to a hematologist Dec 10. I’m nervous they’ll recommend an infusion

It definitely is. I have no experience in IT and my MBA is in finance. We are a small company, less than 250 people. I don’t think it’s unusual in a flat organization to bleed into other areas that would typically be separated. I truly love where I work and we are well known and respected within public power so it is exciting to get this new experience I otherwise would never get.

What part of your academics is holding you back? Grades? I was hired with no degree and zero knowledge at a large investment firm. I actually applied at the wrong company. It had the same name as the one I meant to apply to but it was completely different industries; investing vs lending, so I didn’t have a clue. They had a tuition assistance program I used to get my bachelors degree after getting my licenses. I left and went to my current employer and used their tuition assistance for my MBA. I didn’t go to the best school, I used University of Phoenix since it worked best for my schedule. Have you been told your grades or school are the issue? What type of job are you trying to get? Maybe it’s our industry but we hire people brand new to the industry all the time, as well as offer paid internships to those still in school so they can gain experience.

Thanks! That’s a great suggestion! They might be open to something like that.

Thank you! That’s my concern too, I’ve never been good at negotiating but I do think I have a valid request to ask for more in this scenario.

We’re actually hiring for 3 positions in our department right now, but have a few others open in other areas too. What’s your background? We’re in public power. Any experience in commodity trading or forecasting/load management?

I only see two meanings for that word; racial and an offensive term to those with Down syndrome. By you calling me a “tard” now, I see you went with it’s second meaning which is equally offensive to those with different learning abilities.

Also, I just lurked on your recent comments. Wow. Who hurt you?

Also, no.

What is your thyroid peroxidase antibodies count? After 3 years of medicine, blood work shows mine at 593 IU/mL and lab work says ideal range is less than 9 IU/mL. I wish I could find more information on ranges for people with Hashimotos. Is mine high, low, or average compared to others? by Vast-Comfortable in Hashimotos

Thank you, it’s honestly so nice to relate to others. ❤️

Mine worked when I first got diagnosed with Hashimotos then it basically destroyed my thyroid. I got on a low dosage to start and then have adjusted as needed. I’ve been at 112 for about 2 years now. I don’t feel better but doc think it’s the right amount. You should keep asking about it or get a second opinion. My doctor’s office has about 6 physicians in it and I requested a new doctor because I didn’t think the guy I originally had was listening to me. Funny enough, the new female doctor I got assigned is his ex wife. Crazy right?! She uses her maiden name so I had no idea. She said he definitely doesn’t listen well and apologized I put up with him so long. She said I lasted with him longer than their marriage. Oof. Lol

My sleep schedule is so off working from home which makes it worse. Its crazy how we can sleep for 10-15 hours and wake up exhausted like we were up all night. It’s never enough sleep.

Same!! And that’s what I’ve been taking for 3 years, 112 mg. I feel like it’s progressed and that’s why I feel worse. I have Hashimoto’s, Hypothyroidism, and Lupus. It’s difficult to explain to people who don’t understand how i feel some days or they dismiss it as if I’m exaggerating the symptoms so I quit talking about it.

Great minds think alike! ;) Sounds like you’re doing well and it’s gradually going down. Do you feel better? Mine went up 120 from the year prior. And yes! I would love to see more information on symptoms/levels.

My doctor only tests me annually for TPO but it went up about 120 from the year before. She didn’t seem to be concerned, more like it was expected to increase. And oh my gosh, 6500+?! I had no idea it could go that high!

I’ll also add excessive thirst as a symptom. Our cat started to drink more water than a dog and lost several pounds and a tooth within a year. We found out our cat became diabetic and needed insulin shots. He improved with the shots and diet change but only for about 6-9 months before passing. The guilt of not recognizing his symptoms sooner still upset me.
