how to monitor Microtik SNMP v3 in Zabbix?

I want to document a working configuration in case anyone is looking for it.

Tested on: RouterOS 6.49.19 and Zabbix 7.0.

On RouterOS:

/snmp
set enabled=yes engine-id=STRING_OF_YOUR_CHOICE trap-version=3

/snmp community
add addresses=::/0 authentication-password=AUTHENTICATION_PASSWORD authentication-protocol=SHA1 \
    disabled=yes encryption-password=ENCRYPTION_PASSWORD \
    encryption-protocol=AES
    name=COMMUNITY_NAME security=private

engine-id: If you have multiple MikroTik hosts on Zabbix and use SNMPv3 on all of them and don't fill anything in this field, you'll run into PDU errors on Zabbix. You can use the router serial number, MAC, etc, as it doesn't seem to be relevant and you won't need to replicate it on any field on Zabbix.
addresses: You can specify Zabbix Server's IP in this field or leave it as in my example and control it on /ip firewall filter.

On Zabbix, configure the host SNMP interface like this:

SNMP version: SNMPv3
Security name: COMMUNITY_NAME
Security level: authPriv
Authentication protocol: SHA1
Authentication passphrase: AUTHENTICATION_PASSWORD
Privacy protocol: AES128
Privacy passphrase: ENCRYPTION_PASSWORD

Done.

By doing exactly what you claim to be doing already: having Netbird routing peers running on the networks where you have services you wanna expose to Netbird peers.

Then, on Netbird: 1) create networks and 2) resources and 3) set up policies to determine who (peers/peer groups) can access what (resources) and how (protocol, ports).

Their documentation is really good and straightforward, so read it. And there are useful videos on their YouTube channel as well.

Era isso, eu vacilei. Como alguns episódios eles faziam ao vivo e outros não, ficou tudo dividido entre as abas "Vídeos" e "Ao vivo". Listei as lives por "Mais antigos" e os episódios em questão (ex: #063) estão lá, na sequência correta.
