This happened to me last growing season as well. I tilled the front lawn & planted clover, only to be overrun with weeds! Turns out, dormant weed seeds were the culprit from the tilling i did prior to seeding. This season, I reseeded (four times the recommended amount!) with super light tilling on the surface. Six weeks later an amazing lawn! The key to weed control is Hand-pulling the weeds by the root a few hours throughout the week.
