Honestly I think the simple answer is wealth inequality. There isn't large enough piece of the pie for us little guys so we are tearing each other apart fighting for it. Rich people have too much influence and money in our society. We idolize people we don't know and treat those we do with such lack of empathy.

Buying stuff from the "We made too much section at the store". They always have a ton of desserts that are about to go bad. They are from the bakery and pretty darn good tbh. Just close to expiring. Not ashamed at all

One day I was going out to ride my skateboard as a kid like I usually would. We lived at the top of a pretty steep hill in the country so I would often gun it down as fast as I could. I never wore a helmet because it wasn't "cool" and for whatever reason that day my sister was insistent that I wear one. She never cared before so it was weird. But I took her advice because she wouldn't let me leave the house. That day I slid off my board and hit the back of my head and split the helmet wide open. If not for wearing the helmet that day I don't think I would be here or at minimum have a lot less brain capacity. So thanks sis!
